What is causing my plant to turn clear ish brown?
Is this mold growing on my plant? So grossed out!!! Help!!!
My poor Aralia Fabian plant has lost all of his leaves :( I noticed a few weeks ago that he was dropping all his leaves as they were limp. I repotted him to help dry him out since the soil was still damp when I lifted him up. I’m not giving up on him, but is there anything I can do to promote new leaf growth? Thanks!
I have recently transferred my vegetable garden to a greenhouse and keep it heated between 65-85 during the day and 60-70 at night! A lot of my plants the stems are browning but the fruit and veggies are still producing. Such as on my jalepano plant, eggplant , and bell pepper. I will insert a photo! But all of the plants are still producing. Is this winter burn? Are the plants dying? This is my first winter trying to keep them alive if anyone has any tips or help!!
I have a trandescantia fluminensis albovittata and the soil is always either moldy or has gnats. I have tried repotting and changing the soil but they keep coming back. I have also moved it to different lighting and changed the pot. I don’t have a picture because I already removed the mold again. What should I do? Reference of plant attached.
The new leaf on the far right is so big and heavy it’s causing the whole stem to lean back! I think it’s causing the plant a lot of stress since some older leaves started turning brown at the tips. Is it best to prune the new leaf? Or should I add a pole even though the aerial roots haven’t fully grown?
I moved my plant to a better lit room because that’s what the app said was optimal. Since I moved it the leaves are drying up more and there’s a white mold type thing in areas. Leaves that aren’t dried out are wilting. Does it just need to be watered more or is there something else going on? I would love advice. I put a pic of what it used to look like as well.
I got this ZZ plant from Target this Summer so I feel like it’s already been on borrowed time. It’s been stagnant in its growth but the leaves for the most part are still shiny and green. Today I noticed these black markings on the stems. Planta says the problem is probably overwatering or bad drainage (the pot it came in is trash but I didn’t want to further shock it by replanting). Do y’all think it’s overwatering or some kind of nefarious disease 😩?
The first picture is of last Thursday and I checked for root rot and removed the dead leaves.the second is of today and I'm not sure what to do
what’s wrong with my peace lily?? Three of her leaves have already turned yellow but it them off
Help! Second photo is before first is today, idk what happened to her! I came home from being gone for one day and she was sad, I repotted and watered. Will she come back? :(
Why?!?!?! 😩 Is it possible that this drooping/browning/leaf drop on my money tree is caused by lack of light? Weirdly, the brown started at the base of the leaves rather than the tips. I’ve been away off and on for a few weeks and am pretty sure that my sister ignored my pleas to open the blinds for this plant. The timing lines up with it starting to go downhill. (I just moved to a spot where I’ve got a grow light to supplement sunlight) EDIT: I just wanted to add that I am not a total plant beginner, I am fairly experienced in terms of watering needs, root rot, pests, etc. I see no evidence of pests and while this particular tree has been picky about watering conditions, nothing has changed in the last few weeks except for the decrease in sunlight that it got. That’s why I’m asking about the sunlight! :)
I got this monkey mask/pothos combo a couple months of FB marketplace. Hydroponic in leca and the pothos is doing ok, but monkey mask is really struggling, the leaves keep browning and falling off. I wanna chop and prop that long stem but what’s the best way to do so since it’s just a stem?
I have been advised by planta that I have thrips! This specific plant I have tossed, but essentially ALL of my other plants also have signs of egg laying on a leaf or three. I have washed them with a bronner’s soap solution, and am planning to dust the soil with diatomaceous earth, and use a proper insecticidal soap. Has anyone conquered a thrips infestation?
Hi! Might not be super urgent, but I noticed my Croton Mammi’s roots are really dry. They’re dry enough I could break them off easily (though I won’t do that unless I should). What do I do?
Hi plant friends, any idea what might be causing the brownish coloring on my fiddle leaf plant’s baby leaf. Overall the plant seems healthy. I bought it about a week ago and it was in a self watering pot. I have since transplanted it to a regular pot. Thanks for your advice.
Please help!! He’s my fav!!! Leaves are very curled. There is a humidifier by the plant and I keep the apartment at least 65 degrees. He looked so good last week :-( what else can I do? Will leaves uncurl? Thanks!
Hi y’all. Hoping someone can help me out here. My potho’s is slowing loosing its green. Some leaves are yellowing, while others almost have a brownish tint to them. I have lost a few leaves at this point, usually when I’m checking for bugs, the leaves come right off without much touch. Not sure the issue. It sits about 2ish metres from the window and sits in a west facing window and gets plenty of indirect sunlight. I got the plant at the beginning of November and it’s been watered one (last week). I have noted some thrips but I’ve sprayed the plant down with water with neem and dish soap a few times along with adding that to the roots in hopes of getting rid of the bugs. Anyone have any idea of what could have caused this or what I can do to prevent the rest of the leaves from yellowing and falling off. The camera didn’t really pick up the browning of the leaves
Can this plant be saved? My grandma gifted me this piece of plant from her own. It was nice and green until I planted it in soil. She told me not to water it too after but it stared yellowing and now after a week of no water it’s looking quite bad. Thoughts?
Please tell me I haven’t killed my husband’s jade plant. I left it outside for a few days in the cold while my family was visiting and I just saw it very droopy and sad. Ugh 😭😭
