What is causing my plant to turn clear ish brown?

    Transparancy on syngonium especially, Its usually a sign of edema.

    Looks a little pale if it’s a white butterfly syngonium. Give it more light and 50% diluted fertilizer about once a month, and less or none in the coldest months. Browning and yellowing leaves can also be a watering issue. The soil looks very dry. But, it’s hard to see in this photo. My photo shows a pot of my old white butterfly plants. They are outside in bright shade all year. Thy are in a lot of nutrient organic soil. I rarely repot. I add manure and liquid fertilizer to it.

    These are really susceptible to root rot. Inspect the roots and cut off anything that’s mushy. Give it a light watering and let it dry out for just a little bit.
