What are these spots
I’ve had my monstera for about a month now. There has been little growth, and what there is now looks like this. The other (giant) leaves seem fine. It is in a bright room, but not near a window.
What’s wrong with my Thai con monstera?! It has an LED full spectrum grow light, I water when top inch of soil is dry, it’s in a terracotta pot, and I checked the roots today; no root rot and the roots are very healthy. Also, the colors are in every leaf😩
Can anyone explain what’s going on? The leaves are all rotting and falling off. I got it a few weeks ago and it was doing fine. I cut one stem down completely already
Anyone have any advice for dealing with fungus gnats? I’ve got some issues with my soil drainage that I’m working on in one of my plants, but in the meantime, they’re starting to escape from the room I keep my plants in and annoy some of my roommates. Is there anything treatment I can, like, put in the soil to help kill some of them without harming my plants? I know some things exist but I’m not sure which I should do. I’m already using some sticky traps, but those aren’t getting all of them.
Hi all, I just found mealy bugs… again😡💢😡I hate these little monsters more than anything.. I have over 400 plants and it seems I get one set of plants cleaned up and mealy bug free, and then they pop up in a separate set of plants (they were separated, in different rooms). I am thinking of purchasing beneficials, I am looking for advice…what type, where to buy from, anyone that has used them in the past and can give me tips??? It just feels weird bringing in insects… Thank you for any help/advice!
I recently found scale insects on one of my plants. This is a new plant I just brought in and I haven’t felt with scale insects before. I washed off the leaves as best I could, but what can I do to keep them off my other plants? I am planning on getting neem oil but don’t have any on hand yet
Is this root rot or is this how they are supposed to look? My watermelon peperomia who is just always so droopy.
I’m terrified to ask what the hell this bug is, found on the underside of my daisy’s leaves.. with these oval scales?? just seen two so far.. one flew off my plant before I could kill it.. I’m hoping best case senario whiteflies, and worse thrips
I recently bought this prayer plant and I’m hoping someone can please help me with why are the leaves getting brown edges and cracks. Thanks for your advice.
Are there any tips on how to avoid overwatering? This happened to my poor monstera, she used to have five leaves but lost three to overwatering😭.
Does anyone know what’s wrong with my goldfish plant?
I used to have an albino monstera that was very healthy. Not sure how this happened, but all the leaves are turning yellow and brown. This is also happening to my other monstera. What is the issue and is there any way to save them?
So I have thrips really bad!! Is there any hope?? I have 40 plus plants in my room and they are pretty much all infested!! These little things fly and I’m getting bit!! This is my first time I’m ever dealt with pests and of course it’s a super crappy one!! Uhg I’m so devastated!! Please 🙏 I need help!!
Why is my money tree so sad? It used to have all kinds of leaves but within the last few months it’s been dropping leafs and not really producing new ones ): I haven’t changed the location or the light level in recent months. I did move it to a lower light area a few months ago because it was getting too much, it thrived for a bit and now it’s struggling )):
Need help with sweetheart hoya I bought this cute little hoya 2 weeks ago and the plant appeared fine and pest free. It is small sitting in a 4 inch nursery pot. Luckily I always isolate new plants when I get them. Over the 2 weeks it has developed these lesions/scars and the white residue. I have not dealt with any pests before other than years ago I had one plant with spider mites. What do you think it is? How to treat? Planta AI said fungus but I don't agree. I have not watered it since the day I got it 2 weeks ago.
Recently purchased a Chinese money plant, and have noticed the leaves have yellow spots. Is that indicative of anything?? The leaves were like that when I got it but I feel like it’s getting worse, but I could also just be imagining it. The newer leaves at the top are fine.
Please help!! I repotted this plant a couple days ago, but before that I noticed her leaves were starting to yellow. After repotting, they've gotten worse. What is wrong, and what can I do to fix it?
Gnat help!!! I found out recently that my plants have every type of gnats. I got fruit flies. I got fungal gnats. I have phorid flies. I have a mystery stripey one, and I'm sure more than that. Some are fat, some are thin, and all of them are in every stage of life. I know gnats do not typically eat plants but one of them absolutely does. I watch them land on my plants and literally feed off their leaves. I see the damage they leave where they were feeding. Idk which one it is bc if I get too close they fly at my eyes and it freaks me out. Also idk if it is the same species but I recently burned my hand and now they won't leave me alone. They want to eat me and my plants 😭 The neem oil made a good dent in them but they are too persistent. And again, ik gnats do not typically like plant leaves. I assure you it is the flying pest I am talking about that is damaging my plants. I assure you it is not spidermites, thrips, or mealy bugs. I can literally show you photos of damage, tell you what I observed when it happened, and then show you the exact same patterns these guys leave on other plants. The damage matches their behavior. How do I kill them? They have been neemed for a fat min now and the sticky traps are full of children. Yet there is always more. My soil is very bioactive and full of yummy yummy fungi. My plants LOVE it but so do the bugs 😭
Does anyone know what this is? 😅
