My mini Esther ivy is not having a good time. I’ve been watering based on Planta recommendations and misting every few days… but it didn’t take long before over half of her branches went dry and there were so many falling dry leaves. I had to clip all of the dead branches which is why it looks so bare. Also I often used this particular area of the pot (pictured) to test the soil dampness with my fingers, but it seems like this area of the pot has lost the most vegetation. I don’t think I’m over watering her because the leaves are drying. Is it a watering problem? Am I doing something wrong? Is this just seasonal? Thank you!

so i got this plant a couple months ago, and for some reason everytime new leaves come out the bottom ones become yellow and die off. i got it when it only had about 2 leaves so the “old” leaves aren’t even that old and i just wanna see if anyone knows what the problem could be? i made sure not to over/underwater it and checked the roots. no root rot at all. it needs water now bc it’s a little droopy but now i’m scared to water it too :( i’d appreciate any help!

Any idea what the issue is/any advice on how to fix this? She’s a coral vine getting direct sunlight for around 5 hours and indirect sunlight for a couple hours. I have been following plantas fertilizer and watering schedule (except when the moisture meter says otherwise). I originally thought it was too much direct sunlight but the vine in the back that doesn’t get direct sunlight has the same issue.

My avocado tree leaves are turning brown. Any idea what is causing this? I have 2 other avocado plants that are on similar watering schedule and have same light distance that don’t have this issue.

Question on Grow lights I found some LED Strip lights that are flexible but they do not specifically say they are grow lights. Can a regular LED strip light work as a grow light?

What is this? I was about to fertilise my golden Pothos and saw all of this white cloudy puff, I started look at the other plants in my room and all but one have it, the one shown is the worst case. Is it mould?? Cause the one with the most of it is in the darker area.

Help please! I recently bought this “choco calathea” which I had never heard of before. I’ve placed her in my living which has medium light. Very quickly some leaves died off and others are yellowing. I’m struggling to see what’s wrong, the soil was a little dry and I watered again. Drainage is good and she’s not sitting in water. Any thoughts?

Anyone have any ideas why this one calathea leaf might be leaning backwards? It only started doing it 3 days ago. The plant itself has really been thriving lately, it just produced 5 leaves and has 2 more coming. I water every 7-10 days when needed w filtered water. This has never happened before! Any ideas?

Dark slots and crispy tips have been appearing pretty quickly on my Thai Con. Root rot? I guess my soil is still not well draining enough. There’s not as much orchid bark in there as I’d like. 🥲 That one dark spot on the stem is right on top of where the newest leaf was supposed so pop out. Life is insane right now, I have been neglecting my plant slightly.

I need some serious help. I’m a relative newbie to plants, but over the last 18 months I’ve been very successful and now have around 50 plants! All of a sudden, everything that has been thriving is now struggling or dead. Several pots have what looks like mild, but also appears webby if you look closely. Until a few weeks ago, I had every plant in straight potting soil (fox farms) but I wanted to put them all in plastic nursery pots so I could monitor root growth. When I repotted, I added perlite, orchid bark, hort. Charcoal, and some leca. In an attempt to create an airy mix I’ve somehow done the opposite (the leca is the perp, perhaps). Before I spend $100 on potting soil and repot everything again, can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I don’t think I overwater, but am I? Am I using too much fertilizer? Did I screw up with the repot soil mix? I’m not seeing evidence of pests (besides gnats). Please help. 😭

Help! My African milk tree isn’t doing well. I already removed one stalk because it turned black spotted and mushy. I carefully repotted what was left (and appeared healthy) and moved it to a room without a humidifier. It’s getting a lot of love from my grow lights and is not overwatered. I also treated with neem oil. But now there’s a black spot coming in on yet another stalk, near the base. (So far still firm— not mushy). Any ideas as to what’s wrong and how to treat?
