Hi everyone, over the past year I’ve started getting into Alocasias and yesterday finally found the pink dragon and couldn’t resist, it will be repotted soon and will give it a clean but can anyone help with the holes in the one leaf, it is only on the newest one, they seem to seeping a red liquid and won’t dry up, any ideas on what i can do?

hi guys! this is my very first post ever on this site i recently bought an alocasia frydek because they’re soooo pretty and i was ready to take on a more challenging plant. so far its somewhat okay, ive had lots of new growth and only had to cut off one yellowing leaf when i repotted. what im finding now though is that its leaning pretty far. the stems don’t feel floppy or mushy, none of the leaves are yellowing and theres even a new leaf unfurling. the soil mix is regular potting soil, perlite, and peat. i dont currently have orchid bark so maybe the soil is too moist? I was also thinking it may need a moss pole or trellace but i didnt know if that was normal for alocasias. any tips and tricks are very appreciated!! thank you 🩷
I rescued this plant over a year ago. I never had an Alocasia before, but since Lowes had it in the trash, I figured why not try (plus, free plant!). It has been a learning curve... the leaves have melted away more than once from me overwatering, and it has grown back each time and forgiven me. However, at one point every single leaf died away, and I was worried that was going to be the end. I left it outside in the OR summer with my wife occasionally watering it. seeing how well it did without me really made me excited. Its cold outside, and I had to move it back in. It is reaching for the window, but Im trying to be more careful now. Any advise on this monster, I would really appreciate!!

If I chopped these two part off , would they still grow? (Elephant ear). I only have roots growing from both parts.
My imperial taro (colocasia antiquorum, aka eddoes) is producing it’s first leaf.
Posting again because I literally love her she's growing sooooo big by the day! Side note: I will be taking her out of the glass and in a bigger plastic pot ! She's been doing great in the glass but it's time for something else look at those roots !
Hey guys! New here and just got this beautiful Dawn… please send tips! I think I’ll repot her today and separate the plants. Soil I’ll be repotting her in will be an aroid mix with tree fern fiber, maybe I’ll add just a little soil. Thanks in advance!
Okay so I was gifted this dragon scale and after researching, quickly learned how difficult alocasia's can be. I've had this one for about 3 months, and now all the leaves are crisping up/turning yellow. I'm a chronic underwaterer, but feel like this might be a humidity issue? What can I do to fix it? Any advice would be appreciated!!

This guy doesn’t seem to be super happy. Is the pot too big? He’s in a cactus soil mix with orchid bark mixed in and perlite. I already lost 3 leaves after bringing him home.

An interesting new leaf coming out half-moon on my new mojito colocasia ☺️ I guess this leaf won’t have the typical purple-ish mojito spots, but it still looks cool!
My imperial taro, I am growing from a readily sprouted eddoes root, that I got from H-mart a Korean grocery store.
