This guy doesn’t seem to be super happy. Is the pot too big? He’s in a cactus soil mix with orchid bark mixed in and perlite. I already lost 3 leaves after bringing him home.

    definitely should go in a smaller pot! losing leaves is normal with the transitions and repotting shock. it might be too much stress to repot it now but it’s up to you.

    Alocasias are temperamental so it may do that as it acclimates itself to the new environment. It should be fine just continue to monitor it.

      Yes it just went through shock! Congrats on the new leaf!!!! Also some alocasia will drop leaves when new leaves form.

      I have a full house humidifier that I have running all the time. As well as a meter. We usually sit around 65 humidity but sometimes up to 79

      Me too, I put it on full blast to make sure all my plants are happy with the humidity and don’t have any issues.
