All of this because the Frizzle Sizzle was on my wish list and they offered one free with some minimum purchase requirement I have no recollection of... I just looked up and I was 7 plants in. 🫠 Once they arrive tomorrow, the Great 3D Pot Print of 2023 begins. Big day, y’all. 😂

purchased a succ that was etiolated and thought I’d be able to maintain it that way. he started going downhill so I just ditched the big parts and planted the healthy stuff in a smaller pot. it’s really just an experiment, but I’m wondering if it’ll root in here? just gave it a good bath and gave it a lil plant food so we’ll see what happens. let me know if y’all have advice!

has anyone here tried growing snake plants hydroponically?

I got this mandacaru from a nursery a few weeks ago. It was sitting in a 3 gallon nursery pot pretty neglected but doing OK. This morning I noticed these! Is this going to bloom? I have another mandacaru I’ve had for probably 6-8 months that’s never grown these! This new mandacaru is a growth off a very old mature plant so I’m thinking maybe it’s a bloom! Let me know what you think 🥲
Update: definitely think they’re blooms! Attached photo as of yesterday!

Hi everyone! Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I am a teacher and I have several little succulents I like to keep. Magically, I have kept them alive all year but now many of them are starting to go brown and get crispy leaves. I can’t figure out if I am over watering, or under watering. (Which is why I got the app) They all sit on the same window sill and get plenty of light, not harshly but.. enough? Here are a few pics of them. Any advice on what is happening here? I just want to keep them alive and thriving. 😂 Thanks! Also I kind of guessed on what kind of succulents they are so if you actually know, feel free to let me know.

A now and then and a few things in between with this Lithops trio. The green bulbous look was fun.

Hats off to you, Home Depot. Marked two off my wishlist in one trip for completely unrelated things. (My sweet enabling husband was worried about them tipping over so tucked them in with the hose sprayer. 😍😂)

Anyone able to help me identify either of these succulents? The one on the right I think is some type of Jade but the one on the left has me stumped. I thought it might be some sort of Echeveria. Thank you!

Ok, so I have a few succulents and one cactus, which is actually my daughter’s but I water him. I have no clue what the varieties are and there are so many to look through. What kind of cactus is this little guy?

In lieu of my recent post involving my delight over cactus shadows, here is an example of why I initially missed the potty humor. I’m a curious artist with a head full of ideas that transfer over to whatever medium I’m working on. Since I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with the weirdness of shadows. They are so liquid and temperamental and beyond our control as far as predicting a shape. A shadow is never exactly the same. ANYWAY.
This Mother of Millions is a shadow machine.

Hi everyone! I wanted to post an update on my little friends. The third picture is when I first repotted them in March, the second picture is a week after, and the first picture is now. It has been quite the journey learning their cycles.
Unfortunately, I followed the watering schedule that Planta recommended and my other lithops rotted from overwatering. :( Are you all using the watering schedule from Planta for your lithops? Any advice or tips for caring are welcome!

Any tips for this beauty?
I’m very proud of this aloe. It started in a 4” pot with only 3 leaves or so. Now it’s regularly pushing new leaves, and it has 3 pups! I’ll be separating the baby plants into their own pots soon.
What else can I do to keep this one healthy?

Should I be concerned? My monkey tail is “standing up?” pic where it’s down is how it came - shipped on Etsy and second pick is now. Am I doing something wrong? Why isn’t it drooping?

A few years ago my son made me a little ceramic pot and I bought a tiny little “jet bead” succulent to go in it. The lil pot doesn’t have drainage so I’m really careful about watering. I propagated it once as it started to outgrow the pot and then I just let it go. Today, new pot, with drainage. Look how handsome Jet is. 💫 I’ve included pictures of his journey!

Crassula Deceptrix flowering. Not sure if they open more than this as it is flowering for the first time for me. Very pretty 💚🪴
