I have a question, if the soil has white mold, Iâm assuming, itâs penicillin. Or just mold on general, that can indicate, that there is root rot, and the plant is rotting, or is at risk of doing so, because of the mold, which means that if I do see any mold, especially mushrooms, I should repot the whole plant, into a new pot with new soil, and throw out the old soil and clean the other pot? And if so, how do I clean the spores off of the plant to prevent it from happening again? Would a mixture of Apple Cider Vinegar and mostly water, kill the spores? I know high concentrations of Apple Cider Vinegar can kill off plants, but if itâs mostly water, because itâs so strong it wonât, and you spray the base of the plant to prevent it from wilting, so I was just wondering if I should do that, and if that will definitely help.
NB
Just spotted Pilea peperomiodes plant babies in the soil. How long should I let them grow, before I separate them and transfer to a new pot? So excited to see this!

I couldnât resist this beauty (Alocasia Frydek) for $5! Any advice to keeping it alive & healthy? Doâs or Donâts?
I got it 3 days ago & havenât re-potted it yet. Itâs sitting next to my humidifier & is in bright indirect light (2 feet away from the window). I live in a colder climate (ND) so itâs going to be a challenge keeping it warm & humid. Should I mist it everyday? Has anyone ever gotten heat lamps for their plants in the winter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi, I was wondering if the lamp next to my Rex Begonia is causing the leaves to burn, and die. Or if itâs just overwatered? * ( Update: I added a photo of its progress now, after moving it away from the lamp. )

Recently, my Dragon Scales leaves have been yellowing. I'm thinking it's because I'm underwatering... I'm scared to water more though because of the pot having no drainage holes (and I can't afford to buy another pot). Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations to help keep her alive? (any help greatly appreciated ^^)

Iâm a beginner at this, but I have two Mexican Snowball plants, a Echeveria plant and a Zebra plant all in a glass bowl together, and I was wondering (because of there size not now, but if) do I have to repot them at any time? Or do I not? I have a money tree in there was well, but because of my pets Iâm going to take it out and give it to someone close just because I donât want my pets to get in it. I bought this from someone at a vendor fair today and filled out the information on the app and it is watered but I just wanted to ask (this is my first time and I want to try to keep it alive for a long time).

I love using worm castings in my soil mixes. Itâs nutrient rich and has a great structure.
So I decided to start my own worm compost!
Now I can produce my own by feeding them with my kitchen scraps, instead of buying worm castings from the garden center. âșïž

Hi everyone. Iâm am so happy with this new community that was added. Everyone has been so helpful.
Yesterday I bought several new plants from Loweâs from their clearance section because I like to try and save some of the plants if I can. This poor little guy may not make it but it still has leaves to make food and grow new leaves so it might have a chance. Part of the problem is the it had no label and the app keeps mislabeling it.
I have no idea what it is or how to care for it. Can anyone help please?

Hey everybody!
Iâm very new to the plant community, and I know that with spring just beginning people are starting to fertilize their plants. Whatâs a good place to start with fertilizing, and what are some good fertilizers to use for beginners?

Very new to house plants - bought these daffodils in great shape last night. They looked like this within hours of repotting this morning because I didnât know they needed drainage :( So I repotted again and this one has drainage. Is there any hope for them?
