I love using worm castings in my soil mixes. It’s nutrient rich and has a great structure. So I decided to start my own worm compost! Now I can produce my own by feeding them with my kitchen scraps, instead of buying worm castings from the garden center. ☺️ Win win! 🪱

This is neat! How’s the smell? How long does it take to start producing? Very interested in starting my own 😯

If you do it right there’s no smell at all! My mom has one up and running in her kitchen and I think hers is like 4-5 years old. 🪴 It takes a couple of weeks before they start feeding and producing the castings properly but it also depends on their environment, the species and how many you have. ☺️
