Dr. Earth is my preferred brand for roses, tomatoes/herbs, and trees because itās very forgiving on quantity! I also use water from my fish tanks as fertilizer and it is amazing. If you have any friends or neighbors who keep fish, you can ask them! Any other types of fertilizer that are water-soluble should be easy enough for complete beginners, because you can just throw them in a watering can.

Our nursery recommends dr earth because itās very beginner friendly. Thereās no measuring involved and itās all organic so thereās no stress of chemicals. Just throw it on top. I personally use to use miracle grow when I started which is a 1-1-1. Itās pretty good for most house plants. Never caused burning. Now that Iām deeper in, I heavily use worm castings and osmocote for slow release fertilizer and jacks 20-20-20 for quick dosage. :)
