I don’t have any pictures of it but lately I’ve noticed a few gnat like bugs in some of my plants. Any ideas on getting rid of them and preventing them?

I use neem oil to prevent and you can also get gnat traps that is like a sticky pad you can put into your pot to catch them

My coworker’s office plants had gnats. She used gnat traps and sprinkled cinnamon on the soil. It helped tremendously!

Cinnamon helped me as well. I used it for the mold on top of the soil of my snake plant and it got rid of the gnats as well!

I’ll have to try that if I ever get moldy soil again!

Watering with mosquito bits water will also kill the larva in the soil, that can eventually start feeding on your plants roots if not addressed. They’re probably fungus gnats.

I also do this! Mosquito Bits are the best

Ugh, gnats are the worst! I put around an inch of sand on top of my plants soil so they couldn’t lay their eggs

I’ve tried small pieces of potato. Can’t say it’s a fix all 😢
