What do all of these things in America have in common? - Healthcare is so complicated - Taxes are so complicated - Fixing cars these days is so complicated - Voting is so complicated Give up? One more clue then. - Matching a plant that I purchased to a plant database is so complicated. Give up? Ok the answer is…. Humans have made things complicated on purpose in order to get more money and not to help others. I type in Heartleaf Brunner and I am presented with Siberia Bugloss ‘Variegata’ I use scan the plant feature and I am presented with Great forget-me-not ‘Jack Frost’ HomeDepot is selling “Heartleaf Brunner” which is not in any database as Heartleaf Brunner but instead is sometimes added to existing database records as a synonym or A.K.A. (Also Known As) Humans. Please stop making up names. Just use Brunnera Macrophylla and no Heartleaf Brunner. I’m hoping someone from Bell Nursery and/or HomeDepot see this Did you know that great medical teaching institutions do not allow residents, who want to become doctors, to use the brand names of drugs that us consumers use. When reviewing and assisting to place drug orders they have to use the generic name, or scientific name, of the drug. Different unique names are presented to us as patients, or us plant lovers, only to grab profit. No other benefit than taking our money. And I fell for it.
a mini update from ms. tineke, for anyone who cares 😂 After notching her I got really brave and trimmed the dead edges, praying I didn’t trim too close to the growth point. I removed a few of the worst leaves too. Now I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I didn’t shock her too much.
So I want to repot this plant ! But I also need to water her today, she’s in a 4 in with no drainage and I’ve been waiting to repot her because she was freshly potted when I got her. My question is do I wait or just go for it ? I’m terrified of taking her out or disturbing her 😅
My first monstera leaf with fenestrations 🥹
Oh look it’s us😂😂
just got some new plants !!! i have been looking for a polka dot plant for quite some time now and finally found one !!! i also got it a little friend (:
My bf mom gave me this Chinese evergreen yesterday. If you own one please share some tips with me. She is directly in front of a southfacing window.
Hey all! I had leftover orchid fertilizer and wondering if I can use it on non-orchids? I no longer have an orchid, but I have spider plant, aloe, monstera, snake plant, Purple Heart, succulent, jade, and pothos. Just wondering if I can reuse this fertilizer or not?
What happened to my false shamrock?? I watered her before I went out of town Wednesday and came home to her looking like this yesterday
Hi All! I'm trying to convert most of my plants to semi hydro. Has anyone ever put an Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor into Pon?? What was your experience after doing so?
I bought Bib last week and roots are already coming through the pot. Should I repot him? Thanks in advance, Lewis
So am planning on re potting this plant soon. What kind of pot should I do?. And how?.
I just got this baby Alocasia Gageana Aurea, but its root system looked like it had a rough night out. So, I put it in water to give it a spa day. How long can it chill in the water? I've got lechoza pon arriving next week, but was wondering if my leafy friend can hang out in water until then. I've also got some LECA that I can use for now if I shouldn’t leave it in water for more that 24 hours. Any recommendations? (Besides a root therapy session, of course!)
I just bought this Tropical Fern from Safeway, is there anything wrong with it? Why is there black stuff on the stems? Is that normal? It looks under watered too is my assumption.
What kind of succulent is this? I can’t find the name for it anywhere.
Planta app question — Love a good arrangement - but has anyone figured out a way to have Planta app generate a care schedule that accommodates several types of plants in one pot? Maybe an average of what would be best for the pot as a whole 😂 I know they are all succulent and similar, but an arrangement setting would be nice. 🧐
Any tips for my bird nest fern. Finally producing new leaves but older leaves aren’t looking to good. About 4-5 ft from south facing window.
What a beautiful morning on my balcony 🌞
Hello everyone! I just wanted to come on here to ask for some help identifying this snake plant. The ai tool keeps giving me different answers. TIA!
