Hi. Does anyone know know the correct kind of palm this is? I just bought it from Lowe’s in their clearance rack and it is listed as an Areca Palm but every app scan I do brings it up as a Parlor Palm. Since it doesn’t have any mature leaves on it I can’t tell. Please help?

I recently got a monstera, it’s in a 4in pot & about 4/5 inches tall. Is there any tips on how to care for it?

I recently bought a few philodendrons, 2 alocasias, and a monstera. I’m newer to houseplants and hoping I could get some advice how to keep to alocasias alive because I heard they are very moody!

To all of you who also battle really drafty windows throughout a long winter: I feel you! But look at her now, all ready for spring without those draft-damaged leaves! šŸ¤©šŸŖ“šŸ’ƒ

Someone mind helping me identify these a few plants? One I found in my backyard in some old pot and decided to give it some love. I want to make sure I give this plant the best and know how to care for it. The other two I bought awhile back at a Home Depot and forgot the names. I want to say the one with the darker green leaves is some sort of money tree but I'm uncertain. :,D

Hi there! I have a Guiana chestnut (type of money tree) and although it seems fairly healthy (sprouting in many places) I’ve noticed yellow spots like this on some of the leaves and tips of leaves. It gets a good amount of sun - could that be the issue? I don’t think I’m over watering it. Any help/tips would be much appreciated! :)

Can someone help me out? I got this plant a year ago and I’ve never seen the brown leaves. With the flashlight they look very defined. I live in New York, so the coffee plant is facing east and is always on the window shelf. I only water it when the leaves are down and it looks visible thirsty. I had a humidifier for it roughly about 7 months but it really didn’t do anything major….I just repotted it today from smaller pot to bigger pot. Well the flower shop did. Please help If anyone knows the reason. ļæ¼

I’ve been water propagating a Monstera for about a year now and I’m moving it to soil now. Any opinions on what the best soil mix is?

Hi, this tree is 40 - 50 years old, and it has been struggling, and sometimes branches rot and have to be cut. Most of it is dry, and I recently buried one of my beloved pets, and found a lot of sand mixed into the soil. So I was wondering if I could use an organic potting mix/soil, and if that would help it? We have some dead branches that don’t flower, or have leaves, so it does need to be pruned sometimes, for new growth. Also, my younger brother climb’s it, and I don’t think that is good for the tree. Also, I was wondering if duck poop could help it. We have plenty of that. I don’t want to mess anything up, so I am not sure. Maybe the soil content is fine, and it is close to it’s time?

Do you think my Monstera Deliciosa will servive? It was a cutting given to me. My dogs keep running over and destroying it or eating it’s leaves as soon as they start to grow. I have very few areas with indirect bright light especially for a pot that size. It is still green, I’m making sure not to add to much water, and try to get it out into the sun whenever I can. I’m hoping the stem is enough to keep the plant growing.

Hi, I was wondering were I can buy Cherry Blossom Bonsai seed’s, and which ones would be worth my money. I know they need drainage, and for soil, I think clay, sand, and a potting soil mix would be good, and that I would need to keep it watered once a week. Do I germinate the seed’s? How long do I do that for if so? I know it’s a hard plant, and I do not want to kill it. I think leaving it out of direct sunlight in my room would be fine, because I still get a lot of lighting in there. I would keep it two feet from my window. Also, how many seed’s do I plant, and how far apart? Can they be close together? And I’m really not sure if I have to germinate them. When germinating seed’s, am I supposed to keep them warm?

Just wanted to introduce everyone to my 4 foot tall snake plant. It started off about 2 inches tall with just one leaf and I thought it was fake so it went about 6 months without water at first šŸ˜…

EDIT: Looking better after bottom watering (2nd photo), will likely repot soon! Seeking advice regarding watering! My satin pothos is almost always has curled leaves even though I water it every week. I find I pluck off brown and yellow leaves quite often, but it hangs near my window so gets pretty good partial sunlight. I don’t want to overwater and get yellow leaves but I know curling indicates it’s thirsty. I usually use a little bit of water at a time to water (instead of dousing, the water goes straight through the holes at the bottom), I can see it’s only coating the top of the soil (see second photo, just watered and if I dig a little all the soil underneath is dry). Any advice? Should I bottom water? I don’t know if the plant will be too waterlogged.
