Do you think my Monstera Deliciosa will servive? It was a cutting given to me. My dogs keep running over and destroying it or eating it’s leaves as soon as they start to grow. I have very few areas with indirect bright light especially for a pot that size. It is still green, I’m making sure not to add to much water, and try to get it out into the sun whenever I can. I’m hoping the stem is enough to keep the plant growing.

It might be able to produce new growth, depending on how damaged it’s been and it’s environmental factors. Maybe you should try to cover the vegetative parts with a glass dome or a PET plastic bottle cut in half. It will protect it from your pets and increase the humidity, helping your plant promote new growth 🪴

Thank you. That is a great idea that I didn’t even think about. I will definitely have to give it a try.

Thanks for that genius idea about the bottles. Can’t believe I never thought of that. Wonder if it would help with cuttings too.

Wait a minute, isn’t Monstera toxic to dog’s?

Thank you for your help but without a leaf my poor plant just couldn’t make food to survive no matter how much I hoped and prayed and put in the best possible place it could have been. So my hubby, knowing how much effort I was putting into that one plant went out and bought me a new one. (This one was originally a clipping from a friend’s plant.) The new one has lots of big leaves and several new growths. I’m very excited to repot in the bigger pot and have it sprout away.
