What do I need to do for my cast iron “Milky Way”? She lived on the balcony in part sun/part shade during the tropical Houston summer. She was doing great but then her leaves got this bleached appearance.

What’s everyone’s go-to preventative treatment when bringing a new plant home? Obviously quarantine, and check out the leaves well - but do you sprays their leaves and what with? Bonus for any products found in Canada!

Plants is telling me to water my hurricane asplenium antiquum every 8 days and to keep the soil moist but I am worried about root rot. The internet says when the top layer of soil is dry but also keep the soil moist. Any thoughts on when to water ?

Thrilled because my Kalanchoe finally bloomed but he STILL has bugs! It’s been a year of bugs! I’ve tried removing them by hand, I tried drowning them (I potted him and left submersed in a bucket of water for a few hours), I’ve tried Captain Jack’s Dead Bug spray. I am at a loss. They’re little black bugs in clumps on all part of the plant, but especially towards the center and the flowers. How do I get rid of these pests once and for all!?

Anyone have any tips for browning monstera aurea leaves? I’ve had it for a few months now and the browning spots started very small and have continued to grow. The brown spots aren’t crispy and dry, they still feel like they’ve got some moisture in them. The roots look healthy and I definitely don’t overwater. It’s in a place with all of my other monsteras that are doing pretty well. Apparently it’s super common with monstera aurea but does anyone have anything that may help?

I just received my anthurium from plant mail and I noticed these whitish spots that are kinda transparent and they show on the back of all of the leaves. I’m suspecting it’s a type of fungus that could have happened during shipping but I’m not completely sure. I sprayed fungicide on the leaves in case, please help I just got this plant today 😭

Okay can ANYONE please tell me what to do to help Calypso? Planta said shes a golden barrel cactus and shes pretty big, her needles are sharp. Anyways I just noticed her today and Im not good with telling if plants are underwatered or overwatered yet. Her needles are wilting? And planta is saying she has a fungus but I dont know what type of fungus to be able to treat her properly and how to. Planta also said that she had a changed location when I didnt move her? Most of the yellow or spots are around the dirt, the dirt is very dry but it didnt feel compacted and I think she was watered last summer so Im not sure how she could be overwatered. I just put neem oil on her from planta saying fungus. Please someone respond asap cause I am worried! Shes my biggest plant and I dont wanna lose her!

Hello guys. I have this Christmas cactus that I rescued, it was so dry the dirt couldn’t get a knife through it. I soaked it, saved it, and it’s perked up, grown some babies and got back lots of green. However, when I found it the drought had left its leaves almost completely purple. They are much better now, but it’s been six months and the purple is still there. What’s up? Here’s it now btw

Is my black velvet alocasia dead? There’s a little green sprout but I don’t think it’s been growing. He’s lost all leaves. He used to be so handsome :-(

I have had an infestation of fungus gnats in my collection, but none of my other plants have acted this way to it. Is there anything else that could be wrong? What do I do? Right now I have it placed in my window to get it more light but it doesn’t seem to be helping.

Good morning. I’m requesting any advice of care for my Majesty Girl #3? She has bent over stem; included pictures. Planta diagnosed potential watering problem. I ruled out bug issue. Previously there was an issue with her soil that I treated with neem oil water solution. Soil was dry. Thoroughly rinsed roots: found piecemeal rot throughout root system and pruned back severely along with damaged part of palm. Sprayed with neem oil solution; will let dry out for an hour and repot with fresh 70% cactus palm and citrus soil and 30% organic potting soil. I think it was over fertilized and water imbalance.

I wanted to give an update on my satin pothos. I went to pull off a dead leaf and the entire vine came up, this happened with two leaves I tried to pull. I’ve attached some pictures. Planning on repotting her within the next few days. The soil no longer seemed to be wet, more like cold, maybe a bit damp.
