I’m wondering if it’s ok to repot my elephant ear now since we are working our way in to the cooler months. She definitely is crowded. I had my son (because holy heck she is heavy) to pick her up and there are roots everywhere. I’m apprehensive because I don’t want to disrupt her beautiful growth. What’s the best way to go about it? Do I split the pot?

I’ve got some ZZZ plant leafs I’ve propagated in water. I want to move them to soil and have a small green house set up. Very small, it’s a display box I have with a small fan, heat mat and grow lights. What is the best way to give these a chance? Should I put them in my little humidity box? What setting for my light? I propagated some corms using the puddle method in the box and all 6 rooted. After they started to grow leafs, some got dried out and died. I’d love some advice .

I lost four Ivy clippings because they never grew roots. I used root boost, and I’ve had success with other things. One of them finally grew, but it took more than three weeks for it to sprout its first root! You guys recommended putting some pothos in with it and that’s exactly what I’ve done on my second try with the Ivy. I’ll let you know how it goes.

My friend had to stop at Goodwill today to look for something and OMG 🤩 look what I found for $8.99, when I looked closer under this tray of nine there was another of the same 9!! I couldn’t be any happier cuz I’ve got so many propagations going I was running super low on containers and I’m tired of the dollar store ones I seem to have them all.

Just had to retire my first and very successful propagation with my old house. Here’s a look at my baby’s strong stems (pictured in the front teal cup)

My parents and I are visiting a friend and one of the hotels allowed us to take some cuttings of their plants to try and propagate them. ❤️❤️❤️

My parents and I are visiting a friend of mine and one of the motels we have stayed at on this journey had some amazing plants and considering it’s late in the fall and the plants were about to freeze to death, the hotel management allowed us to take some cuttings to try and propagate the plants. ❤️❤️❤️

Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is? My roommate has it and let me take propagations of it cause I’m a plant nerd but I’ve been trying to google it and look it up on here all week and have been given like 10 different names. I just want to know what soil to put it in cause I’m about to run out of time😅

I successfully propagated this fiddly fig a couple months ago and I’m considering doing it again down to the single bottom leaf. The trick is fairly thin and weak. Thoughts?

Hello, I have just discovered thrips on my houseplants. I know how to get rid of the ones in the potted plants but I’m afraid I have also found them on my props. How do I get rid of them on props? Any advice would be welcome, I’ve been using sexy plant juice spray to wipe all the leaves but they keep coming up from the stems. Is some warm water and dish soap a good idea?

Everyone said how easy transcendias are to root. Mine took 11 days to grow a root!!! I was about to give up on them. Yay!

First time propagating snake cuttings. When are they ready for soil? Is it the same general thought as other plant types, 2 inches with secondary roots?

I had a couple leaves fall of my Hoya crimson queen, so I stuck them in this little pot to see if they would possibly take root. There was no node just the leaves. Has anyone had success with this? Is it even possible?

So I’m not sure if I cut the roots back or put it like that? It’s been in that container for at least six months because my depression was holding me hostage so everything just kinda did its own thing other than food and water. So yeah what do you think guys!?!

This has been in water and rooting hormone for far too long!! It’s pushing out leaves like crazy, it’s got eight leaves as of now. I broke the stem a long time ago, so do you think it will be okay to plant it like it is and what size pot? I have from 2 inch pots all the way to ginormous!! I’m gonna post another one that’s like a whole tree now, I’ve honestly never even identified it so I gurl I’ll do that now then post and see if yak can give me some much needed advice!!
