Okay can ANYONE please tell me what to do to help Calypso? Planta said shes a golden barrel cactus and shes pretty big, her needles are sharp. Anyways I just noticed her today and Im not good with telling if plants are underwatered or overwatered yet. Her needles are wilting? And planta is saying she has a fungus but I dont know what type of fungus to be able to treat her properly and how to. Planta also said that she had a changed location when I didnt move her? Most of the yellow or spots are around the dirt, the dirt is very dry but it didnt feel compacted and I think she was watered last summer so Im not sure how she could be overwatered. I just put neem oil on her from planta saying fungus. Please someone respond asap cause I am worried! Shes my biggest plant and I dont wanna lose her!

In the first, close up picture, the soil looks pretty wet and there are droplets on some of the needles. The base also looks yellowish. Possible over water/root rot?

Neem isn't a great fungicide. So you may need a better one. And unpotting and into a dry, we'll draining gritty mix should help. If it's exuding moisture and you haven't watered, it may be rotting

I don’t see anything wrong with it. It looks healthy. And if last you watered it, was in the summer, I don’t think there is root rot.

She is beautiful. Her needles may be curving from growth instead of wilting. If you have really long tweezers you could gently tug on a needle. If it’s firmly attached and doesn’t budge then she’s probably just fine.

That is a rust fungus do not use neem oil. Not good for cacti. Also if she starts leaning to the southwest direction she is getting too much sun. It’s how they protect new growth.
