Does anyone know what insect is this? Thanks!!

I recently had to repot this amazing 9-year-old Burgundy Rubber Plant that I bought a couple of years ago. . Many of the roots were showing at the top and the plant was leaning terribly. The plant was thriving in the spot otherwise. I repotted in a pot that is a little bit bigger. Ever since, I have lost several leaves. They turn yellow and die. What do you recommend?

Watering as directed (checking top soil dry) 3rd time using bottled water after I found out tap is bad (Kirkland bottled water) Gets lots of sun (I brought outside to check roots. Usually in front of a window or under my grow light) Roots are short(?) and not mushy Tips are browning and dry but not crispy Did I kill it? 😭

A neighbor “gifted” me these plants. One is a ponytail palm. The other MAY be some kind of orchid. My plan is to plant the ponytail palm in a much larger container because I think that’s part of the issue but if there’s any other advice on how to bring this thing back to life any and all suggestions are welcome. If the other plant is in fact, some sort of orchid, I’ll also repot that with orchid, bark and parallel, and just a bit of soil… If someone has a better idea as to what this plant might be again, any ideas are welcome.

Can someone please help me. My Jamaican Sorrel Hibiscus was doing just fine a few days ago and then it started wilting. Any ideas on why or how to fix it? Thanks in advance!!

Are these mottles on my monstera damage from pests (possibly thrips) or variegations? The mottles are only on one of the leaves, but I’ve wiped the plant down and louped every surface without finding any pests. I got this plant second hand so i don’t know its history, which is why I’m curious. The rest of the plant looks healthy and it’s growing!

Just found thrips on two of my houseplants and I’m devastated. Isolated them from the others immediately (I think the others seem okay), but I’m at a loss. I know this is super hard to treat. Are the plants done for?

I have never seen anything like this before. I was doing a flush on my Monstera. Watching and waiting for the water to subside, all of a sudden, I saw these little worm creatures crawling up the side of the planter. I have tried to identify them with a bug app and got seven or eight different answers. Google is no help. I was wondering if any of you had come across these things before.

What’s the best remedy for thrips? I bought a String of Rubies plant on Monday and just now found them on her. I’ve checked all my other plants very thoroughly. I didn’t see any on them. But now I’m nervous. I’m very new to being a plant mama, so I want to make sure I correct the problem and not let the infestation affect my other plants. I’ve already quarantined her to another room that has no other plants, but I want to be proactive in preventing my other girls from them as well. What do I do in this situation?

Not really looking for help but I wanted to show off this really cool leaf I found on my begonia jive. Jives are lime green with chocolate brown edges. This one was fully white. The green presence did not occur until after I picked her and accidentally broke the leaf. She was ghost white before she bled. This leaf looks like this bc I watered over it and it got suffocated beneath all of the other growth, never allowing it to breathe or dry. I have never had a plant go ghost mode from damage before. The red is so neat! I never thought abt color theory relating to how plants color themsleves before. She just puts a green overlay on everything

Oh dear. All of a sudden, my Lemon Lime Philodendron is failing me. It was once full, but I’m losing leaves left and right. I lost a big leaf this morning and one of the stems is brown. What am I doing wrong?

What can I do for this poor plant? She was so full and pink when I brought her home now she’s leggy and not happy looking. The leaves are turning yellow and crispy then falling off. There is new growth at the top but it looks droopy. I watered it yesterday and keep to the planta schedule and it’s in part sun.

Anybody know what causes a sugary water coating on my bird of paradise that I have been washing off and/or this funny texture. I also know I need to repot and am scared so tips appreciated

Hello. This isn't about the norm for this chat. I'm so upset! Some terrible person in the maintenance crew for our subdivision decided to cut my purple spiderwort down 2 weeks ago. It is coming back to life but looks nothing like before. Instead of complaining, this time I sat on my patio with my camera on record sipping my coffee. When the guy came by with his weed waker, he gave me a weak smile and said hello. I don't play about my plants. I work hard to keep them healthy and beautiful. I deserve respect for my property.
