hi planty friends! I recently repotted my heartleaf philodendron (Phalange) and she has not been doing great since. she’s had a lot of yellow leaves that I’ve been removing and I’ve noticed a lot of her leaves seem weaker and are curling. all of her new leaves have also been dramatically smaller, and I just noticed a tear in one of her leaves as well :( I’ve checked for pests and have been treating for them as well as a preventative, but I haven’t seen any buggies anywhere. does anyone have any idea what could be going on with her or any tips on how to get her thriving again? thanks so much!

I bought Rosemary from grocery store, it look fine and healthy. Then opened the wrap to see there’s black mold looking thing underneath. Is it mold? Is it better trashed? Hopefully salvaged but I am not sure….when I rub it can be taken off, not really like stain.

Help Please!!! These gnats….they are in all of my indoor plant’s soil and they fly around your face! I’ve been thinking of using neem oil. I can’t spray. (disabled) I asked about putting on a cloth and laying on top of soil, most everyone said I could mix it in the water and just water the plants. I’m wondering if there is another suggestion other than neem oil?? Especially for gnats.

Hi Plant People! My first post. This is my beloved Fi Fi. I have had her 2-3 years, she's done wonderfully, never an issue (slow growth of a leaf or two a year.) She's been turning white at the base of some leaves, and have had several fall off within the week!! Many are drooping and turning yellow also. This is very distressing and will take any/all wisdom/advice/tips to help save my dear Fi Fi. ❤️🙏 UPDATE: Its a fungus infection. And tips?!

Hi my fiddle leaf fig has gradually shown this browning and cracking on some of the leaves. Additionally, there is significant dropping now. I feel like it might not be bright enough but also im worried I might not be watering it enough. the plant is very large so watering can be a challenge. any advice would be greatly appreciated !

Does anyone have advice on helping my Snake plant? I’m trying to revive him but he’s pretty shrivelled and hasn’t grown hardly at all in the last two years.

These are mock strawberries (Potentilla Indica). It’s a quick spreading invasive species. It’s not wild strawberries which are delicious. These fruits are tasteless.😖 The fruit points skyward. Fruit on wild strawberries dangle. This weed has covered a 5 ft x 30 ft wide area along my back fence since the uncommon winter snow this year that killed most of the grass in that area. 😩

Hey team! New to the app and wanted to pick your beautiful brains. Bought this beautiful fiddle in January and he was doing good, until recently, I noticed some mealy bugs/spider mites (or whatever they are called). Used very diluted water and soap to wipe off the leaves and then purchased the neel oil (on day 3). I love this tree lots and don’t want to steer him wrong but am not sure if I’m approaching properly. Anyone know the issue or have suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

Hi! This is my dieffenbachia plant, does anyone have any tips on how to help it recover??? The left side was taken when I first bought the plant. It stayed like that for 8 months and then randomly started dying, even though nothing changed. The right picture is how it currently looks. Any advice is appreciated 😊

My Rosemary has fully dried and browned over the winter, is this normal or is it dead. We had a lot of rain during early winter. Zone 6b

I repotted my Monstera plant about a month ago and I now have yellowish leaves appearing. It gets plenty of sunlight and water. What am I doing wrong or what did I do wrong? Should I cut the leaf off or let it be?

I’ve recently taken this Chinese money plant from a family member to try to save it. The drainage on their pot clogged up without them knowing. The roots have been sitting in wet soil for a decently long time, I think it might have some root rot. Does this plant look save-able? I’d love some tips on how to help a plant that has been extremely overwatered.

Some leaves of my Aloe Vera have this kind of black dots on them. If I try to rub them with a wet tissue nothing comes off. Others are becoming yellow and I don’t really know what it could be. Help please 🙏

I recently noticed something unusual with my creeping groundsel, which I rooted from a cutting last fall. It had been thriving, but suddenly, it started looking a bit limp, with some yellowing leaves and areas that appeared to have been eaten. The leaves also had a strange texture, almost as if they were sprinkled with granulated sugar. At first, I didn’t see any pests, but upon closer inspection, I discovered a sticky residue on the growing tips. It wasn’t until I took a close-up picture that I spotted some tiny critters. I’m reaching out to the community for help in identifying these pests and would appreciate any tips on effective and easy ways to eradicate them. Be sure to fully open the photos to see the pests Thank you!

My boyfriends calathea appeared to be healthy and I was planning on repotting her this week. Upon inspection I saw she has spider mites 😭 I told him to go hose her off outside, and later I’ll spray her down with a neem oil/isopropyl alcohol/peppermint Castillo soap/water mixture. Does anyone else have any more tips?? She’s beautiful and I don’t want to lose her! My boyfriend is an inexperienced plant owner and why he chose her as his second ever plant I’ll never know🙃

We got these bird of paradise plants Sunday at Home Depot. We repotted them in tropical + all purpose potting soil. We watered and left them outside to drain over night. During the night we had a pretty strong storm. Now she looks like this. The soil is pretty wet so hopefully she just needs to dry out some. Any ideas other than too much water and wind?

Hi! My staghorn fern just arrived today and doesn’t look it’s in good condition. It had a yellow leaf which I cut off but some other leaves still have brown spots and is brown near the roots(?). I’m not sure if I should cut them out in case this fern has a fungus disease and would spread to the other leaves. This sucks because it’s a small plant and doesn’t have a lot of leaves 🥲 Thanks in advance for the advice. tl;dr: does my staghorn fern have a fungus disease and should I cut the leaves that have brown spots/lines on them? (please see photo)

I’m sorry this isn’t the best photo, but these little critters move so fast it’s hard to get a picture of them. Anyway, when I watered my bird of paradise a ton of these little bugs came up out of the soil. I don’t know what they are or if they are bad for my plant. Hoping someone here would know and be able to help with advice on what to do. Thank you!
