Late Bloomer

I recently noticed something unusual with my creeping groundsel, which I rooted from a cutting last fall. It had been thriving, but suddenly, it started looking a bit limp, with some yellowing leaves and areas that appeared to have been eaten. The leaves also had a strange texture, almost as if they were sprinkled with granulated sugar. At first, I didn’t see any pests, but upon closer inspection, I discovered a sticky residue on the growing tips. It wasn’t until I took a close-up picture that I spotted some tiny critters. I’m reaching out to the community for help in identifying these pests and would appreciate any tips on effective and easy ways to eradicate them.     Aphids! I’d blast them off with a hose and treat the plant with neem oil, insecticidal soap or lady bugs!

    Keep it away from your other plants (as much as you’re able) so there’s a less chance of them spreading.

    Aphids. Spray them off with water then treat with insecticidal soap or treat with neem oil. Check your other plants if you had it close by the others

    Aphids are the pest of choice. Easy to spot especially the orange and black ones. Easy to knock them off under running water if you have no hose. They love young new growth. Use insecticidal soap after washing them off. Check every week for them. I got rid of them after 2 months.

    Thanks to everyone for your replies. Wow two months seems like a long time. Can you suggest some ways of isolating them when there is not a lot of space? I draped a plastic bag on top of it in the meantime.
