I’ve recently taken this Chinese money plant from a family member to try to save it. The drainage on their pot clogged up without them knowing. The roots have been sitting in wet soil for a decently long time, I think it might have some root rot. Does this plant look save-able? I’d love some tips on how to help a plant that has been extremely overwatered.

    I’m no expert by any means, but maybe you should pull it out of the pot and check the roots for rot. Cut away anything that’s clearly rotten and hopefully have enough left to save it. If you can’t save the entire thing, maybe you can cut the roots down enough to start again with a smaller plant. Good luck!

    Also after checking the roots spray them with some peroxide mixed with water in a spray bottle before you repot, then I would go ahead and fertilize it at that time, put it in a self watering pot, spray it down in neem oil but not in the sunlight then leave it alone and see if it helps turn it around. Don’t wet the soil when you repot it since it was overwatered. Just put it in the self watering pot and let it pull what it wants itself. If you go back and check and it pulled it then I would wait a week before I refilled the watering tray. That’s how I would try to save it good luck

    Rinse all the dirt off and put it back in the pot with new soil and water it every 2-3 days till recovery
