I water these plants once a week since I’ve had them. Since last fall, leaves are turning brown. I tried watering less but no change. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong.

What’s up everybody. Funny story, I just found this aloe plant in a dark and dusty corner of my room, forgotten for years. I’m talking 4 years minimum, this poor thing has been without a DROP of water or proper sunlight. I literally had to sweep a layer of dust off of the leaves. Since it’s still surprisingly green and the leaves still have moisture inside, I’m thinking it’s still saveable. I repotted it in some healthy new soil but have yet to water it because I’m not sure how much I should water it after such a long period of drought. Some of the leaves are slightly brown and squishy at the ends. Should I trim all the browning parts off or leave them? Okay, thank you to anybody who read this. Any advice on how I should go about watering and healing this plant would be very much appreciated. :)

Before going on a week long vacation, I changed the soil from a dense potting mix to a chunky mix consisting of charcoal, perlight, coco husk, and all purpose potting soil. I came back to the leaves Yellowing like this. Is the Yellowing from transplant shock or under/ over watering. I also moved it alot further from my grow light because I noticed the ends starting to burn. Any help would be extremely helpful. I got this plant for $30 because Walmart had it labeled wrong. Should I cut around the brown spots, remove the leafs entirely or let them be?

Hi guys n gals. Can anyone tell me what is happening here. AI says lots of things but I value your opinions. Taken from a healthy looking geranium in a pot, soil looks ok & usual watering application. TIA.

My prayer plant is starting to look at little sad. I think it may be because my pot isn’t draining enough? The soil is still moist a few days after the last water, and it has been hot where I am. It is the kind of pot with the drainage plate attached. Does anyone have any pointers for me? Very new to plant care

I took a risk with my mom’s stagnant pothos, and I’m worried I’ve ruined it. I learned the plant was about 7 years old but hadn’t grown much. It was mostly a few stems each 2-3 feet long that were wrapped around a pole with 2-5 leaves on the ends. I took a bunch of cuttings to prop them, and they are doing great! But the original plant, not so much. All of the roots looked good, so I repotted it then trimmed down the leggy stems and buried them back into the soil hoping the nodes would root. It looked fine for a while, but now the leaves that were left are turning color or getting black spots. I’m relatively new to the plant world, so it wouldn’t surprise me if I’ve done something wrong. Maybe the pot is too big so it’s staying too damp too long? I don’t see any signs of pests. I have it in a room with lots of light during the day and a bit of direct sun in the evening. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

This browning on my Thai Con started just this week… I haven’t changed up her watering. I water her once a week but USUALLY I try to go with bottom watering (is that not enough?) She has a grow light in front of her for 12-13 hrs a day and I just added a grow light above her again for 12 hours. She has a humidifier nearby and it’s consistently between 50-60% humidity……. Any ideas? Is this common because of the white coloring on the leaf?

Hello! I’m very new to plants and have started growing an avocado from seed. It seemed to be doing well, but recently while repotting my mango, I decided to check and repot the avocado as well. Looking back, I think I may have repotted the avocado too early before it developed a stronger root system, and I also didn’t think to cut it back to encourage better growth. Here in Australia we’re about to enter winter, so I was wondering if there’s anything I should do now or if it would be better to just wait until spring? Also, my mango has a healthy stem and leaves but a small/weak root system. I’d heard that better-draining soil is better for them, so I changed it from a moisture-retaining seed starter mix to a blend of: the original seed starter mix all-purpose potting soil a small amount of cactus soil for drainage I also moved it into a slightly larger pot. Was that the right thing to do, or is there anything else I could do to help it? (Sorry for the bad root photos, I was repotting in the dark 😅) Thank you in advance. :)

New plant person here. So I learned from my mistakes and repotted everything in regular soil plus about 20% mix of orchid bark and cactus mix due to my plants staying wet for far too long. But it’s still happening. Do I need to reduce the amount of water I give them or something? I’ve been watering until it comes out the drain holes then letting it finish draining before putting back on the saucer. I really don’t want to have to repot them all again, nor do I want soil mold to return.

I’m probably overreacting, but I’ve had issues with strawberry plants in the past where a small problem becomes a big one quickly and I would like some simple advice. My plants leaves are turning yellow and I’m just wondering if I should be concerned or not. Problem area and full pic included

I am losing my mind with all of the fungus gnats this year. I finally got them under control, and now a new plant is threatening to infect everyone again. I’ve tried neem oil, beneficial nematodes, and granules. Anything else I should be using? They are all in my office and I work from home and the gnats are driving me insane!

Hi! I’m at a loss with my Areca palm (he has never once let me experience peace lol). The first pic was taken 10 days earlier than the rest of the pics. I repotted him into a bigger nursery pot and pruned a lot of his brown tips. He was doing well and had been happy with his humidifier. Now 10 days later… he’s freaking out? He’s had brown tips before but I’ve never seen him with this type of discoloration. Have I killed him?😂😭 I greatly appreciate any help!!!💞

I am newer to the plant world and hoping for some help. I transplanted my new Caladium and it is struggling! We are on day 9 of super droopy leaves that looking wilty and edges dry. I’ve been running a mini humidifier, making sure the soil is moist but not soaked and it’s getting indirect light. Ideas on how to bring her back to life?

New plant mama here. I have a braided hibiscus “tree” and her blooms are beautiful when they first come out but then they get this dark blackish spots on the rims? Does anyone know what this could be?

i got an aloe from a friend and i dont know much about them ngl but theres this stuff that appeared on the leaves and i dont know what it is help😭🙏

What is going on with this Rosemary plant? Looks like small whitish spots on the leaves. It’s in a spot now that gets about 3-4 hours of afternoon sun. Watering only when dry. Thoughts?

Even though I've had plants for years I still consider myself a beginner since I still make mistakes. Like root rot. It was a good few months without it. But recently 5 of my plants had it bad. I cleaned up the roots and put back in soil, and again rot, repeat, again rot. Almost to the point of all the roots being gone and having to start over. Two of the three (the first two) I just bought two weeks ago from a greenhouse. They were in a purely peat moss mix which I usually swap for my own mix. Usually this isn't a problem. But a week later they had rot. I left them for a week after bringing home to adjust before repotting. The other three I've had for a few months and upsized the pot a little while back but they also had rot at the same time as the other two new ones. Right now I have the cleaned up plants and cuttings sitting out to dry and I will pot up or propagate once callused. Just wondering if anyone's had experience with this? I've done the exact same process (repotting after bringing home from greenhouse) (or repotting into slightly bigger pot) and some plants thrive whereas others get rot and just about die.

Please help I’m newer to the plant world I was given this rubber ruby plant with these marks that are slowly moving to other leaves !! What am I dealing with and how can I fix it … this plant is quarantined away from the others currently
