Hi friends! This is my first monstera. I got her in January from a vintage mall and repotted her soon after. I’m so pleased to say she’s already grown four new leaves since then and is working on her fifth! She’s getting pretty bushy and her new leaves are hiding behind her old curly ones. Can/should I prune her to show off her pretty new fenestrated leaves? She’s looking kinda crazy and she’s growing in a bunch of directions. I’d want to try to propagate whatever I cut. Any advice or tips from experienced Monstera parents? Thanks in advance!

Hello friends, Today I found a beautiful Thai Constellation Monstera at my local nursery. My house is already a jungle, with a massive Monstera monopolizing the big living room window. Most of my plants use grow lights, but this one is up in the bedroom with a south facing window. Planta says this room has too much direct sunlight for this guy. I’ve placed it on the east side of the room about 110cm from the window, and it would get shade in the morning with direct light for a bit in the afternoon. Is this too bright? Does anyone have any experience with these guys burning?

I have wanted a monstera also for forever and I finally got this cutting recently. I have it in a bag (for humidity) with moist sphagnum moss and perlite. It doesn’t have any roots yet, not even an aerial root from before. What really has me concerned is the yellowing on the left side of the leaf. I know I could still manage without the leaf but it would probably help speed things up a bit by giving it extra energy. An ideas on what could be wrong and what I could do to fix it?

Hi everyone, Someone gave me this old and unhealthy monkey face. My apartment has really low light so I made this grow light setup for it. I had some Wiz lights already and decided to use them as the grow lights. I heard they don’t work but figured it would give them a try. After about a month I’ve had multiple new leafs on all the vines and seems to be recovering from the relocation and repotting shock. Has anyone used these and had success? I know I should probably use better grow lights but figured I would try what I had. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

This was a gift from my boyfriend’s son who passed 3/15/24. It was his favorite plant. I am desperately trying to keep him alive and I’m terrified to do anything. Is the pot too big? I water every Sunday, I’ve used this app since we got him, soil is peat moss and the little white balls, lots of drainage and I empty excess water in the basin. He grows new leafs after I water and I use miracle grow at all waterings. I have moved him to the bathroom with a grow light and my weak attempt at a moss pole. He is so thin compared to the ones I’ve seen and his leafs are curling up. Please help!

I need some help. I bought this monstera on clearance, I assumed because it was dying. I revived it, saw it was 2 separate plants, gave it a trim and now they're both very happy. However one is acting like a beautiful monstera as I expected and one is... not? What is this? It's happy whatever it's doing lol (I've added photos of the normal one plus growth photos of the Frankenstein one)

IT HAPPENED. I finally found a local albo cutting that didn't necissitate selling a kidney! Super pumped and would love any propagation tips. I do have a marble queen pothos cutting in the same jar as this one for some extra support too.

I'm pretty sad, my cat got to my monstersa and damaged the new leaf she just put out. Anything I can do to save it somehow? Or should I cut it?

Can I see what extendable moss poles you are using? I cannot get over how quickly these plants grow; Their root system is insane!

Hi! I had a huge monstera I bought off someone for $25 local. I’m not heartbroken that it’s been shocked from repotting, although I had too because they had kept it in a bucket. However, I’ve lost all leaves but one. I was trying to be hopeful, but at this point, I think my best option is probably propagating. Could anyone give me some tips on that? I’m not the greatest at propagating and I don’t really do it very often. I need tips on everything, I have rooting powder, but I wondered what you all found to be the best vials, whether it be actual glass tubes, mason jars, whatever, and please tell me exactly where I should cut!!! I need to know everything! Thank you all! Picture of it the night I got it, after repotting and removing higher up aerial roots, and 2 from just now.

HELP! Why is this dying???? I put it in chunky airy soil, it’s had a solid water routine and I’ve checked to make sure there isn’t root rot, they just keep dying… there are about 4 plant lights in my room, should I move it to a south facing window? Help.. idk what to do

My monstera (Swiss Cheese) is pushing out already yellowing and browned leaves. Any ideas what it could be? It’s not the whole plant but I’m curious

Should I chop this leaf? It’s the only yellow one and turned yellow very recently and quickly. I haven’t repotted or fertilized since I got it in November, which is what the planta doctor thing thinks is the problem. Holes are not from pest, previous owner’s cat got into the plant and chewed on it. Please help!

Hi friends, I’ve found this monstera adansonii with a white variegated leaf for $15. It’s obviously mislabeled because these are usually sooo expensive. It only has one white leaf that’s beginning to brown because it’s not getting enough light here. I have much more light at home for it, though. It also has really strong roots and doesn’t need to be repotted from this 4” pot yet. What do you think? Is it worth the purchase or should I leave it behind? I already have the non variegated version of this that’s grown to be several feet long. So I know I have the right conditions for this plant. $15!! Let me know what you think and FAST! Thanks!

The first plant I brought in the house and transferred to leca, a Monstera. Seems to be doing well, but it’s developed gnats. I put some sticky traps around the base of the plant, and I crumbled some mosquito dunks into the cache pot. I’m thinking maybe didn’t clean enough of the organic matter off the roots. Should I repot, clean all the leca and roots and start over? Should I just do cuttings with what I have and restart with no roots? Also read about adding Death Drops to the water. Should I add this to the water and water from the top letting it drain into cache pot? Any thoughts about this or other suggestions would be appreciated.
