The first plant I brought in the house and transferred to leca, a Monstera. Seems to be doing well, but it’s developed gnats. I put some sticky traps around the base of the plant, and I crumbled some mosquito dunks into the cache pot. I’m thinking maybe didn’t clean enough of the organic matter off the roots. Should I repot, clean all the leca and roots and start over? Should I just do cuttings with what I have and restart with no roots? Also read about adding Death Drops to the water. Should I add this to the water and water from the top letting it drain into cache pot? Any thoughts about this or other suggestions would be appreciated.

I’m also currently at war with fungus gnats. Every single plant has a sticky trap and I watered everything with Mosquito Bit tea two days ago. Give em hell, soldier.

I just started using Microbe Lift for killing mosquitos in soil ponds. It's working fairly well. But I agree you shouldn't have gnats in leca, so you may have left too much organic matter on the roots. So id either treat to kill the larvae regularly, till the adults die. Or unpot and remove the rest. I ended up using my kitchen sprayer to remove everything before I moved a few plants to leca
