Hey everyone! Forgive my ignorance. Just jumped both feet in on plant parenthood. Been buying a lot of plants in the past few weeks (18 to be exact) from pathos, dragon tree plants, nerve plant, snake, money tree, zz, and just got a dieffenbachia. I also have a 10 year old, reasonably well behaved Husky. Question (may be dumb) are any of these plants that are considered toxic, should be a concern if she doesn't actually chew/consume these plants? Does being near any plant in particular cause some sort of reaction or harm from mere contact (like poison ivy) or am I being a bit too paranoid now? Thanks for the responses in advance! 😀

Does anybody know of any plant safe cat deterrent sprays? My two cats LOVE to bite the leaves off my plants and most of them are not cat safe. I’ve had to put all of my plants in one room and banish my cats from going in there. It’s really sad, as I love having plants in my house :( I am disabled and am at home most of the day, so usually I can monitor them. But a deterrent spray would be very helpful for when I’m not home or sleeping.

What plants do you have with your crested gecko? Do you keep the plants in nursery pots? Do you take them out to maintenance them weekly and do a tank clean?

Hi friends I just this morning realized my dog has been eating my asparagus fern. I don’t know if this was a one time thing because I haven’t noticed any damage to the plant but I found some chewed up leaves. Planta says it’s toxic to cats and dogs. What do I do! She is a mini poodle and I found around a tablespoon. I feel so bad that I didn’t put them higher☹️.

Hi! Just got this new Golden Pothos for Christmas, any advice? My aunt gave it to me with a little disco ball pot lol, is it ok for the plant? I’ve wanted this plant for a long time but haven’t gotten one because I have dogs (one of which eats literally everything and the other won’t eat anything), any advice on where I should put it so she doesn’t eat any fallen leaves?
