this is so embarrassing but i’m SO DESPERATE PLEASE HELP ME. I have a gut feeling these are far passed any reviving, but is there any slight chance of saving these orchids I have? 😢😢 EDIT FOR BACKGROUND: I’ve had these plants for about 8 months, and a few months back I started to let them go… but now I have time to focus on them! I was great with the care - it was easy and low maintenance, and I could usually get flowers back on them, but they’ve never gotten this bad!

Hi all. I have a large phal with what I suspect is stem rot. I trimmed the dead roots, cleaned with hydrogen peroxide, applied cinnamon to the blackish areas and repotted in bark and sphagnum making sure the base of the stem is not covered. Is there anything more to do? Is she heading for the big orchidarium in the sky? Any insight appreciated. TIA!

It’s the day after Valentine’s Day! Now Is the time to stay laser beam focused on any orchids from cvs, Walgreens, etc for orchids. Give it about a week and these stores will be tossing them because the blooms are going to fall off and the staff will think that they are dead and no good. If you ask nicely they will give the to you for a discount (or free!) Don’t try to take them all, they will say no. Instead go from store to store and collect. 2024 I got around 8 phalaenopsis orchids for about $2.00 in total! Good luck!

I was moving plants rotating them and adjusting the lighting and noticed that I completely missed that I have a second flower spike on my orchid.

Soooooo… DEAD OR ALIVE? I got this beauty a few months ago and she isn’t doing too good. I forget what type of orchid she is but she has fine roots. She had reddish and yellow flowers. I love her. Please help me save her. I didn’t water her enough and I don’t think her current pot is ventilated enough. I will do anything to help her! 😭😭😭 if she is able to be saved please tell me how!!! Also if you can tell what kind she is please do tell me. Edit: I remember I wanted to get a oncidium sharry baby but the ones they had were too expensive. So it is either of the ones in the screen shots I put in the comments.

Found this article on how to get orchids to bloom thought it was interesting. They said that they need cooler temperatures to stimulate spike growth and flowering, idk if anyone has heard of that?

Hi all. I’ve noticed some very tiny black dots that form a mottled pattern on the pseudobulbs of my oncostele wildcat “yellow king.” There’s also wrinkling. I’m not sure if this is new but does anyone have any insight? TIA!

Help experts! I was gifted this orchid last spring and it stayed healthy for a long time. I did quite a bit of reading about them but it kinda went in and out of my brain with some outside stressors. We almost threw this little baby out but I just couldn’t! Tonight I was in my kitchen and noticed these buds!! Help me figure out what to do next to help bring “Fallon” back to her natural beauty!

Looking for opinions:) I’m so excited I have my first flower spike! It’s growing towards the window… ***Should I turn the pot around so the flower spike has more room to grow away from the window? ***Or will that stun/shock the plant and stop the flower spike from growing?

Embarrassing but I need help identifying this plant. Plant apps have said she’s a cymbidium but I got her from someone at a show whose English was not so great who said she is a paphiopedilum. I went to repot her and her roots look nothing like my other paphs so I’m confused. Any help is welcome as I want to care for but not sure what she is!

ORCHID HAUL!!! Adopted these three beauties from Sam’s club.(they had a multi-pack so I mix’n’matched them) I got two white moth orchids and one deep purple! But idk what to name them. 😢 HELP ME😭Name suggestions please.😭😭😭
