Hello, my orchid appears ok but how do I help it reflower. I received this orchid last year for Easter. Wondering if I now just have a bunch of leaves?? I have not fertilized it yet and it is a cool backroom with plenty of sun.

I am brand new to plants. I have 5 orchids and 2 are not doing well. All are in the bathroom with humidity and a full spectrum grow light. Any advice would be greatly appreciated for these two. And any tips for the others that are doing very well.

2nd plant bloom of hardy ground orchid! While i think it's beautiful, I purchased a variety of 3! 9months later and 2 have bloomed and neither were the color as advised they would be and they are the same 😕 be careful ordering from Brecks! 😩

Seeking help for a Bulbophyllum falcatum! The bulb on the left started turning yellow and dropping leaves, and I'm worried the rest of the plant will go the same way. Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Looks like I may have puzzled out the light issue for this cattleya! I’ll update when she blooms. If anyone else is struggling with related hybrids- it was the difference of west vs east exposure, and an extra hour or two of indirect exposure. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Usually after the flowers drop I cut the stems. But this one got a bud just as the last flower was wilting so I left it. It has since had 2 more blooms, 2 buds, and a new branch! ! 😁

Hi! I’m new here and also new at plants. I need help, my boyfriend gifted me an orchid. Can anyone help me ? I want to keep her beautiful and healthy but I fear it’s not starting out great 😭.

Went to the Chicago Botanic Gardens today for their orchid show, India Blooms. I’ll have to add more photos to the comments. It was a stunning display this year. If you are anywhere near the Midwest, it’s worth a trip.

About to make a garlic bath for my orchids! I don’t boil them. I take hot boiling water and pour it over the garlic (skin and all). I let it cool off for about 30-40 mins, strain and let my orchids sit and soak in the water for about 20 mins each. 😁

Hi all. I went to bed last night excited because my first phrag was about to have a second flower but when I looked this morning, the first flower was on the floor. It's a healthy looking flower. I hate to think that the new flower assassinated the old one but maybe this is just how phrags do?

Hello! I have had this jumellea confusa for the past 2 years and it is not doing well right now. For the past 2 months it’s been getting yellowing/brown leaves that eventually just come right off when I touch them. Its health has never really thrived (no flowering or big amounts of growth) since I got it but it hasn’t ever gone downhill like this. It was seeming underwatered for a while and now I’m concerned it’s overwatered? I have it in the spot with the most light in the house (with no direct sun). I’m not sure how to help it right now. If anyone has ANY info on how to take for this type of orchid, it would be very helpful. Thank you!
