Hello, my orchid appears ok but how do I help it reflower. I received this orchid last year for Easter. Wondering if I now just have a bunch of leaves?? I have not fertilized it yet and it is a cool backroom with plenty of sun.

    Worm castings liquid would probably get her to bloom. Just add to it's water and watch it happen, got a cactus to bloom for the first time ever that way, and my own orchids of course.

    I recommend to place orchid in an area with indirect light , also orchids like humidity try to have it around 70% or 80% would be ideal . Last thing would be repotting if it outgrows its pot. And of course fertilize once a month.

    Looks like your light is good- the purplish tinge on the leaf is showing that this would be about the limit though- strong direct sunlight can burn them. I’d definitely suggest a repot, and regular fertilizing. Some phals are more genetically prone to initiating a flower spike after a nighttime drop in temp for a couple of weeks. If there’s a spot in your house that you can drop the temps at night to the low 60’s, or crack a window nearby, you might be able to encourage it to spike.

    Also manage expectations. 😊 if mine rebloom it is only once a year- usually in fall/winter
