Recently got this Philodendron Gloriousum from a plant friend on facebook and although sheâs GORGEOUS iâm not a huge fan of the pot she is in/the way she sits in it. Itâs very bare on one side, full on the other. (It appears to maybe be 2 plants, side by side, but unsure). Would it be okay to repot her in a less wide pot and put the stems vertical? With supports? Iâve never had a philodendron before, and iâve just come to find out this is a âspecial oneâ so I donât wanna hurt it. Tips, tricks, repotting advice needed and welcomed! đȘŽ

Hi đ Army Veteran 𫥠& New here. Iâm not sure this is the right plant(Philodendron) however I used the app to diagnose him. His name is âBlueâ đ©”. I just recently ordered a humidifier and the amount of sun you see is about how much sunlight he gets. There are 6 other plants nearby and I see no signs of âenemiesâ đ However, he isnât as perky as Iâd like. Does he look ok? The app says heâs sick. 𫣠Aside from the humidifier arriving soonâŠ. Any other tips? I also mist him and the others daily and water according to the apps recommendations.
I took advice from one group member here and transported it into a smaller pot. I checked its roots and so far it looked pretty good. Looks like keeping it in a bigger pot made the poor thing take in too much water. I made sure to put it in tropical soil this time along with some LECA balls, topped it off with Epsom salt and poured some water mixed in with Superthrive (to help it thrive with its new pot) along with a seaweed/kelp fertilizer. Iâm keeping it in a shady spot so can adjust to its new pot.
So what do you guys mark as your soil type when using a typical aroid mix? Iâm using 1/3 potting soil, 1/3 orchid bark, 1/3 perlite. Just trying to get Plantaâs watering schedule as accurate as possible and I cant decide which of their soil options to pick.
My philodendron hope leaves are kinda saggy.. I want to water it but Iâm really afraid of overwatering it. Last watered April 30th (give or take). I just cut off a leaf yday that had lots of browning on the tips followed by yellowing. The saggy leaf on the right has been like that since I got in December tho
Had to share this beauty
My plant is starting to lean and needs a moss pole, what are some you recommend and where do you get them? Thanks đż
hi friends! I just did a soil refresh on my white wizard yesterday. when i pulled him out of the pot his roots were pretty tight. as of right now i just put him back in the same pot as i donât have a bigger one at the moment, but should I start looking into a bigger pot for him? i know some plants like to be root bound a little and wanted to get some advice on this philly. i only have a lemon lime philodendron and a micans so their structures are different.
This is a âpupâ that I got from the parent plant about a month ago, but it hasnât been growing and has been drooping, and while there appears to be new growth it seems like the plant is at a hault. I donât know if itâs because the plant is sleeping orâ-according to the moisture meter, the pot is wet. Is the plant âsleepingâ or does it have too much water or both.
My pink princess philodendron is thriving! Shooting out another new leafâșïž with perfect variegation!!đ
Anyone know how to fix this? I just had to cut off some leaves that weâre looking worse for wear. Nothing seems to stop it. I tried giving the plant more light, less light; more humidity, less humidity. Any tips? Thanks
Yaâll đ I love springtime. I bought this baby in February and it was staying alive, but not growing any. I wasnât sure if it was going to do anything but looked yesterday (first and third pic) and this morning (second & fourth pic) and Iâm so happy she looks to be forming another leaf đ any tips for philos this small? So far so good, but donât want to risk messing up with this one somehow. TIA!
Bought this Horsehead from a coworker. The leaves came with these tears. New growth looks good, no tears in the leaves. Should I be worried? Also can I have it hang instead of climb?
Please help! This girl has had some trauma from repotting & spider mites. I just found two of these spiders nesting in these parts I just pulled off. They were sticky. Iâve been hesitant to spray more neem oil as now I see new growth finally pushing through and I donât want to kill them. Iâve sprayed water on her several days in a row but I think she needs something stronger. These spots are new, just today. Any suggestion welcomed!
Need help with my joepii.. what are these sticky little drops?(not alive)
My poor baby ring of fire started out good and went downhill and I tried everything. Hereâs the before and after in one month.
how to get rid of fungus gnats? ty
Going to pick up this beauty right now :) couldnât be more excited!
What are these webs forming on my pink princess?
Repost with updates. Still trying to identify this Philodendron. On close examination, the stems are green with many close together very thin, brown/red vertical lines. However, what I think are new leaves/stems coming in are totally brown/red. Help would be appreciated. It really irritates me to potentially have mis or unidentified plants for some reason!
