Hi all! Question - with the app, I added my potato plant to help me keep track of it. I’ve just harvested them and there’s nothing to update the plant in the app saying harvested to discontinue further plant updates 🥴do I just say it died?! TIA
I’m growing a jalapeño plant and I got my first jalapeño! It’s about 3in long right now, when is a good time to pick it?
I’ve had this orange tree for about 2 years and it keeps fruiting but the fruit stays small. I have taken off a lot of the fruit this May. Should I take off more so that the others grow bigger? The plant feels like it has been stagnant in growing so wondering what I can do.
Hi, I already harvested some broccoli in this same plant, is this now…broccolini? Or do I cut this off?
Can anyone assist with this? I recently received three squash seedlings (Zucchini, as far as I know, though one was erroneously labeled “beans” and the other had no label) from an event, along with a bean seedling. One squash has some little thin dead patches on its leaves, and now so does the other squash, the healthiest of them with a nice flower. The beans had the same issue. Planta said I over-watered them, and to let them dry out, but the fact that it appears to be spreading is scaring me. It doesn’t appear to be powdery mildew, although the nursery cardboard whatevers did get a moldy spot on them. I removed that spot and the containers and replanted them in larger containers, used fertilizer per Planta schedule, etc. (Planta diagnosed the one squash with “never been repotted” which is very much not true.) These plants have only been in my care for maybe two weeks, I’m unsure how old they are.
Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m new to gardening. I wanted to try growing some things I use a lot on a daily basis, and strawberries are one of those! (Although I’ve heard they can be finicky). I replanted a sprouted plant I bought back a month ago and I just keep getting runners and no fruit or flowers. I have been fertilizing every 3-4 weeks and making sure it gets plenty of water and it has full sunlight. Is there something else I should be doing? Should I sing to it too? 😂 genuinely need help if anyone has any tips! TIA
I’m a super beginner here.. how do I know when to pick my peppers?
I made 2 gallons of liquid fertilizer and only used 1 gallon. My next round is in a week. Is it ok to keep the mixture for a week? Or should I dump the unused fertilizer?
Hello, I'm new to gardening and have a small balcony with some potted herbs and two orange bell pepper plants. I bought two young pepper plants that already had a handful buds on each of them. I repotted them and did my best to care for them, however I believe I was overwatering them. Every morning, I’d find what looked like promising pepper buds that had fallen off the plant and ended up in the pot. Luckily, each plant managed to keep one pepper, and those peppers grew quite large. But there’s a problem: both peppers have stayed about the same size and are still green after about two months. It seems they stopped ripening and aren’t turning orange. I’ve learned that I was overwatering, and I’ve been taking better care of the plants since then. Now they’re growing bigger and looking healthier, and I even see some new buds forming, which I’m hopeful about. My main question is: are the peppers that survived my overwatering stuck in some kind of paralysis state? Should I remove them to promote new growth, or is there still a chance they will ripen and turn orange?
One rule I always follow! Only plant carrots when soil temperature is @80*F and you’ll have larger, straight carrots!🥕 👍 excited for pickled carrots!
I’ve been harvesting my plum tomatoes but the ones I have plucked so far look like this at the top. Is there a reason for this with the brown puckered skin on top? Are these no longer edible? It’s worth noting it’s been VERY hot here the last few weeks, so I try to water my plants daily and fertilize them (directly on the soil) once a week.

Hey guys this is my first year gardening! My zucchini are now flowering but I have no idea if there’s something eating the leaves or what’s going on? I’ve checked for pests on all my plants and there’s no insect! Any ideas?

If so, how can I do so? -What types of pots should I get? 🪴 -how much light do they need? 💡 -how much water? 💦 I really want to grow fruits indoors so I don’t have to go walking around picking foods outside and worrying about deer 🦌, and animals 🐇eating them. The APP recommended i remove suckers from my tomato plants ~ Is there a ratio or magic formula so too many aren’t removed which could hurt the plants? How does this look to the group?
