I planted a snap pea seed today, I got organic vegetable and herb soil and I’m using a grow light. I’m doing everything by the book, really hoping to see some peas. If it works, I’ll cry from joy. Hopefully in a couple months I’ll see some pods. I just hope nothing happens once they’re little shoots, I’ve had plants die before once the shoots start.

Harvested some oregano!! There’s a cold front coming to the US this week. Perfect time to make oregano tea. Highly recommend oregano tea if u have a sore throat.
Hey everybody. Im pretty new to any type of gardening and im trying to start growing some veggies and herbs in containers this year. I have a couple of questions, if anyone can help. 1. I am using 5.5 gallon plastic pots that are about 12in in diameter and pretty deep, is that too small to plant a bush bean plant with some carrots around it? 2. Is that same size pot able to hold 2 bush cucumber plants or should I only put 1 per pot?

Hi there! Novice gardener here in southern Wisconsin. Any tips for how to start an outdoor patio garden? I am in an apartment so my deck is small-south facing. Thinking of growing lettuce, kale, cherry tomatoes, herbs, jalapeños and snack sized cucumber (if I have room!) I’ll take all the recommendations I can get to maximize space (railing planters, narrow towers) 🥰

Hey yall! Haven't had many questions in a while...but a few months ago, I started growing avocado. I went on winter vacation to Haiti for a few weeks, my flant's "trunk" or start of one anyway, is all weird...and the roots are growing toward it. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I live in Wisconsin and we just bought a new house. This is a photo of the garden in the backyard. When we moved in, it was November and I didn't do any fall garden prep. The brussel sprout stems have now turned into popsicles and I don't know what to do to prep for Spring. It apparently even has a watering system but I didn't know what to do with it to winterize it so I'm afraid it's probably frozen and broken. I am new to all of this but really want to give it a try. What is my first step? What should I be doing in January in Wisconsin to prep this garden for the Spring?

tips on keeping a lemon tree alive and thriving? i know they love sunlight and the warmth i had it in my backyard with direct basically most the day sunlight didn’t like that, so moved in to the front porch where it gets light but not direct and the leaves look shriveled
My indoor tomato plant finally started producing!
My poor curry leafs plant went bald!!! All th leafs dried up and started falling off. I guess he’s not adapting well to the change in season. I hope he’s gonna survive! I trimmed a branch off so now he’s all lopsided and wonky looking. Send good vibes for him please!!!
I chipped down my ginger that I had neglected for over a month. Will the roots where I chipped plants still grow? The plants were over a foot tall when I chopped. These are younger and shorter, so I left them be. I am in Central Florida zone 10a.
