Help. I bought like this. I need to repot as this does not have a drainage hole. What is the name and should it be elongated?
Finally there’s the sedum.. the healthiest out of the 3 but still pretty sad leaning over to one side. How do I make sure she survives? I have propped her up with a toothpick for now to see if that helps:)
Next up is opalina🌱 This one was delivered with some rotten black leaves, some being completely detached, others I detached myself… the stem seems to be fine. How do I treat her? She’s been deprived of light so I know she needs more, but do I let her adjust or repot now just to make sure there’s no dead roots? As the leaves were pretttty bad :(
Hey! New to the group:) I got some succulents delivered today but after 4 days in a dark box they’re looking a bit worse for wear… First introducing my crassula… she came a bit sideways and the stem looks rotten; can I save her? Do I repot her now and cut off any dead roots or wait for her to adjust to the new environment? Or is it just too late? :(
anyone know what these three succulents are?
Hi! Any idea what kind of succulent this is? Should I be worried about the top?
Update on miss mother jade’s recent (& major!!) hack. In march I rearranged my collection and got this 15+ year old jade a grow light…and a haircut! Progression photos below, the first from March, the cut happened in April, the 3rd & 4th taken just now. She’s been busy! Love these prolific beauties.
ITS A BABYYY!!
I’ve noticed small brownish dots appearing on these two 2 string of buttons.. they are indoors under a grow light, gritty soil. I’ve never had any kind of bug or fungus before — could this be my first?? 😭
Her first time blooming and I am obsessed!!!!
Hey I been seeing many people do this DO NOT TOUCH THE LEAVES on your succulent it can rub off the wax on them and sometimes make it to where your plant has a hard time regenerating leaves!!!
Is it normal for this to be happening to my stone plant?! Thank you! x
Does anyone know how often and how much I should be watering my succulents? I have a baby ghost plant that I’ve had for about a month and two new plants (elephant bush and echeveria). I’m a bit worried about root rot and overwatering, especially for the ghost plant. The app tells me to water it until water runs out the drain every 8-12 days cuz it’s June and I guess it’s warmer but I feel like it’s just way too much and they’re inside. My soil was holding on to a lot of water too so I decided to buy a different kind and replaced it today. I put the ittiest bit of water in the new soil since they were just watered yesterday but yeah just pretty worried I’m overwatering my succulents. (These pics are from yesterday after watering them and before replacing soil today. Tried to drain and get it to dry out but the ghost was especially bad.) :(
Does anyone know what might be happening to these leaves? One leaf that I already removed began molding (I believe) before being moved outside for the summer. The new leaves are healthy but then start forming these dark spots. Should I only remove all affected leaves or treat the whole plant?
Do these look sunburned or more like a watering issue? I moved my succulents outside for the summer and think I may have sunburned my burro’s tail and SOP. The affected leaves on the burro’s tail are dropping and I have been placing back into the soil. The affected pearls on the SOP are shriveled and mushy. I have moved them to a north facing covered porch to acclimate more slowly before introducing to more sun.
My string of bananas hasn’t been growing for a while, and it’s mostly just stems. I’m not great with succulents, but I rescued it about a year ago from Lowe’s. Many of the “bananas” has dried up and fallen but the stems are still nice and green. I decided to check on the roots and there’s not many. Is the stalk near the roots typically brown? Or has it slowly been drying out? All them individual stems looked similar to this. I feel like there should be more roots? Any tips/advice?
So I’ve had this guy for a year since he was a baby, he’s kinda grown a bit odd, now having to use my knitting needles to support him so he doesn’t topple over, any suggestions as to what I can do here? I’m a bit lost 😅
love me some cactus blooms 🥹
Just got this cutie today but I can’t remember what type of succulent she is can anyone help?
I bought this Bishops Cap (astrophytum myriostigma) today. When I got it, the flower bud was closed up fairly tight, similar to the google pic, I left it in the car for a couple of hours with the windows cracked, but about 77° in MO. I came back and the flower popped out!! Then after being home for a while, it’s closed back up. I’m trying for find info on this behavior but not having much luck.
