I’m planning on repotting soon, and wanted to know if what yall like to use for your pot mix? The brands, etc. I want to make a big batch but also don’t want to spend an arm and leg.

Hi new to plant care, so far my plants are all doing well but every time I go to water them the soil is dry. I don’t want to over water them and think I need better soil. How can I get good soil for them? Is potted mix enough or should I add other things? Plants: pothos and umbrella tree Pots: plastic with drainage and ceramic with drainage

Hello Everyone! Looking for recommendations on some grow lights! We only have on outlet in our bathroom so if it’s battery powered it’s a plus! But I can make it work if it’s wall plug-in! I’ve got lots of surge protectors lol. Oh I also have 3 light bulb slots right above where my monstera sits so I could use bulbs as well! Thank you in advance!🫶

Hello. What liquid fertilizer do you all recommend? I have a few pothos, snake plants, carnivorous plant, cactus, a few philodendron.

My peace lily is giving me mixed signals. I’ve cut off a million dead leaves and am left with these unsightly stumps, but at the same time several new leaves are growing and it has a flower for the first time in over a year. I recently moved it away from the window because I thought maybe the leaves that were turning black were getting too cold, and I plan to water with distilled water moving forward, but I’m at a loss. What do I do with the stumps from the dead leaves? Why are the leaves turning black? 😭 it had fungus gnats but it was not a bad infestation at all and that was over a year ago as well.

Hello, I've had this Jade plant for a while and she's become a giant! I want her to be strong and less droopy. Does anyone have advice on propagating? Im always afraid to propagate too much. I propagated once last spring. I took about 14 cuttings but she's become unruly again!

What would you do in this situation? I want to chop my golden pothos and extend its moss pole, but having living sphagnum and ferns sprouting from it has been a real treat and I don't necessarily want them gone. Do I make a little sphagnum bin out of them? I tried pulling a couple smaller ferns out and giving them pots with sphagnum; all but one died. I'm also considering asking in the fern group since I'm not super knowledgeable about ferns.

Oh no!!! My hyacinths are starting to come up!!! Theyre faaaaaaar too early! What should I do!? Currently they’re in my garage overwintering. We just got a HUGE snow storm (50cm!) and it’s currently -15°C outside so I donno if I should put them on the front step to slow them down or if that’ll kill them. What should I do? The pot is FARRRR too big to bring inside to enjoy. (16” pot)

My boyfriend gave me Willow Bonsai cuttings for Christmas. We are in our winter season in Michigan. I was instructed to propagate in 3in of water after opening the cuttings. I've never heard of this plant, and there weren't detailed care instructions that came with this. To my surprise this plant has grown like crazy in water and doing so well. I didn't plan on moving to soil until spring, but I'm not sure if I should wait until then now. Anyone with experience or knowledge on further steps would be super helpful!! A photo of what it looks like after 2 weeks is in the comments below.

if anyone has any insight as to what is happening to my pothos plant! i moved it to a new location awhile ago since it was getting cold. It is dying now and the soil always seems to be incredibly dry, no matter how much I water it, I am on the watering schedule for this plant. It is not by a heater and it is getting enough light.
