This spider just doesn’t want to grow, started 2 months ago. It is in a 8”pot I fertilized it.

A few months ago I pruned my jade plant in hopes of it growing bushier. After researching it said that 2 stems should grow from the point where I cut it, but I’ve noticed only 1 stem growing from each point. Did I mutilate my plant for no reason? What might’ve I done wrong? And does anyone have suggestions on promoting a bushier plant?

I planted a pumpkin seed in my backyard, and they have now developed into this thing. I am hopeful that the pumpkin(s) will mature in time for Halloween. Context: I am new to gardening and plants in general and have picked this hobby up since moving to Kentucky from Illinois. I have no idea what I’m doing right or wrong. Just the fact that it’s huge!

Curious to see what everyone else shares 🙂 What are plants in your collection that seem to be thriving even though it is notoriously known as a difficult plant or you know you’re not giving the best conditions to? Pictured from a week ago is my Calathea Fasciata. I’ve had it for almost 8 months now and got it on a whim at Home Depot knowing a thing at all about it. Have it about 6 feet from a slightly obstructed south window, miracle gro potting soil (with only perlite and drain hole for drainage) and a pot that might be touch large but it has been thriving! It continues to push leaves. Already on its 7 or 8th this season!

Hello, Got these two fiddle leafs today from a friend. Wanted to chop the top off and propagate since the stem is very bare on the bottom section. Any advice? Unsure of where to chop since theirs two stems coming off a single trunk. Also will chopping the top and cutting off the bare stem kill the small baby at the bottom? Never had a fiddle leaf so any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance!!

Do you have any plants where your experience differs from care information or advice you read / heard? Thats the case for my Dischidia ovata ‘one stripe’! I had heard that this plant should only be watered when completely dry and the leaves are soft. When I gave it this care, it grew slowly and always with wonky or burned leaves. Now, I water when about 1/2 dry. By not letting this plant dry out, I’ve been rewarded with much quicker growth and nicer, larger leaves! *keep in mind I have this plant in a very chunky mix, the top 1/3 of the root system has very little soil, mostly chunky perlite, orchid bark and coco husk, the bottom 2/3 of the mix is still chunky, but also moisture retaining with soil. The smallest photo is when I got it one year ago, then the photo with a lil plant on the trellis was six months ago when I still was letting it dry out too much, and now look how much it’s grown with proper care! Share your experiences!

Hello! This is my gorgeous plant that I got at a plant sale about 7 months ago! It’s grown a lot since then and I wanted to show her off a little! #plantmom I am also open to suggestions on ways to improve this plants health! Thank you! P.s. I just added this moss pole for support.

Hello all! I’m still relatively new to plants, but was put into contact with someone in my community through a coworker. She was getting rid of some mature plants as the care for them had gotten too intensive and wanted them to go to a home that would care for them. I believe the species as epiphyllum oxypetallum (queen of the night) and schlumbergera bridgesii (christmas cactus). Any advice for these species or the particular plants would be helpful. The Christmas Cactus has small dots on some of the leaves and the Queen of the Night has some larger brown patches. I know at least one of them was kept outside underneath a patio. Thank you in advance for any advice!

I’m not sure what happen to my snake plant, I noticed this recently? She was sitting in my room which gets subpar lighting, I recently moved her entirely to the balcony where there is more sun and I’ve only watered her once last month like the 30th thru the sink prior to the yellow left :( should I also remove the leaf?
