Any idea what’s going on with my Coleus? Leaves are curling, turning yellow, and then falling off. New growth also is falling off. I’ve kept it pretty watered and in partial sunlight but nothing seems to help

I used up my last energy when carrying this huge Ficus elastica to the bathtub. It was so dusty and was in desperate need of a shower 🙏 Are you team Shower your plants 🚿 or Cleaning the leaves with a cloth? đŸ§Œ

i have what seems to be aerial roots on my new plant, do they need to be underneath soil or are they alright to just stick out?

Is there any reason why my spider plant isn’t giving babies? It’s about a year old. There is no drainage in her pot but there are small rocks at the bottom, keeping her alive.

Hi friends! I would classify myself as an amateur houseplant mama, pretty decent at keeping my plants alive and helping them grow. But I admit I still have a TON to learn. That being said, I will ask probably a very beginner question: should all of my houseplants be in pots with drainage holes? Most of mine are in pots without holes - they have been fine with that & I don’t tend to overwater.. but I really want them to thrive! What would you say the general rule is in your experience? Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated! :)

Freshly misted đŸ©” (yes I know that misting does little for humidity, yes I still love to do it) 😂

Hi! I’m new to plants and only started using Planta yesterday. Have a quick question on the settings - all my logged plants had a banner display “low light warning”. But I placed my plants on the balcony and used a meter to test for the lighting, they all are well placed based on the plants. Curious if I can ignore the banner, or should I re-locate the plants? Ty!!

Two weeks ago I was recommended to use keiki for my monsteras albos to encourage growth points to produce more leaves and look at this! 💚 so exciting to see how what comes out

Shorten money tree? My money tree grew longer than I had wanted. Is there anything I can do to cut this down to half its size and hopefully make this bushier? It’s very top-heavy and drops when not tied together. Any tips are very welcome.

First post, kinda nervous 😅 I have always loved greenery and flowers but I am the absolute worst at remembering basic tasks like watering plants. I have always dreamed of having a garden and now that I have my first house I really want to make my dreams come true! Does anyone have any tips/advice for a complete beginner? I haven’t grown anything since elementary school lol. All help is appreciated!

My poor little monstera adansonii got sunburn 😭 The question is: what was the culprit? I put it in the garden yesterday to get some sun. I’m in the UK so it was chilly but sunny. Today, it was inside under the grow light, which is on a low setting for 9 hours. Is the grow light too close? Should it not be on for so long (options are 3, 9, or 12 hours)? Thanks!

Hello so I became a new plant mother in August and I was considering buying one of these shelves as I wanted to move them to a different window as I’m on a ground floor flat and lots of people walk past and I crack the blinds open so they get the light but can’t be seen so I wanted to move to another window but have one of these hanging shelves to make room for more my question is how would I get away with not opening the blinds but have them yanno when they’re still down but twisted so light comes in

I want to get some predatory insects for my house plants, where is a good place online to buy?

I took my plants out for the summer. I have already brought in the majority of them. But I left my Boston fern, mum, a geranium and another small fern. I am in zone 7a. It was 36 this morning, so no frost. When should I bring my plants in for the winter? I hate they will be losing the bright sunlight during the day. They won’t get as much in my home.
