My poor little monstera adansonii got sunburn 😭 The question is: what was the culprit? I put it in the garden yesterday to get some sun. I’m in the UK so it was chilly but sunny. Today, it was inside under the grow light, which is on a low setting for 9 hours. Is the grow light too close? Should it not be on for so long (options are 3, 9, or 12 hours)? Thanks!

It looks like a new leaf. Is it? And what was the temp outside? Cause it could be sun burn but could be cold damage too. Maybe place the light over the zz instead. Or move it from directly under. For the plant it’s like direct sun being so close to the light.

Thank you! It is a new leaf, so much more delicate. The temp was about 17 c (sorry, not good at Fahrenheit!). I misted it with water afterwards to soothe it - I don’t mist if plants are in direct sun or under grow lights until they are turned off.

Also what did you spray on the leaves. Neem and other things can burn under light for a long time.
