First post, kinda nervous 😅 I have always loved greenery and flowers but I am the absolute worst at remembering basic tasks like watering plants. I have always dreamed of having a garden and now that I have my first house I really want to make my dreams come true! Does anyone have any tips/advice for a complete beginner? I haven’t grown anything since elementary school lol. All help is appreciated!
Welcome to the plant lovers club! Planta has been a great tool in helping me remember to water/mist and fertilize my plants however it’s such a great investment to get a moister meter to ensure you’re watering appropriately. They’re about 6-12$ on Amazon! For the time being though using your finger is the best option and just making sure that at least 2inches into the soil is moist (obviously varies depending on the plant of course)

All great advice. Beware: plants are very addictive! Definitely research your plants. This app is a huge help for keeping up with plant chores but it can tell you to water a lil more often than you truly should. When it comes to pots, nursery pots have great drainage, you can always put them in a decorative cover pot. Have fun!
