Hi there! I’m a new plant mom and I’m terrified. I have a begonia that I purchased back in March. Can someone tell me if I’m doing alright by him lol? Posting a picture of the day I got him vs today. Also I’ve noticed some browning on 2 leaves…not sure if it’s a fungus?

Hello everyone! I was gifted these 2 plants from a classmate of mine before she moved but she’s not sure what the names of them are and planta doesn’t seem to be able to identify them either. One is a bush I believe that she said sprouted orange flowers in the summer and the other is a bunch of floppy cactus that have a difficult time staying up.

Help!!! I’ve never grown anything from a seed before. I have three Mary Jane seeds about an inch under the dirt just lightly watered. I was told to keep it humid but do I poke holes through the wrap or leave it air tight? Any and I mean any advice is welcomed, appreciated, and needed. Thank you :)

Fairly new plant mom here. Why does it seem that Planta keeps telling me to water my plants way more often than they need it? I was overwatering when I followed Planta’s schedule. Now I use a meter to check or I see if the pot feels lighter first because I am not sure how correct the meter is. Some of my plants still have a few yellow or brown spots on their leaves even though I’m being careful to try and not overwater them. Why does Planta have me watering them so frequently??

I’m new to plants. My roommate gave me this orchid early spring and I’ve been able to keep it alive! It did have yellow blooms, but not any longer. Is this normal? And what other plants would be good for a beginner? I only have my bedroom currently to store plants and it has one small window.

Just got a fiddle leaf fig and wondering if i can encourage growth on the lower trunk? I hear they are especially susceptible to shock.

Help!!! I can’t seem to find a straight answer to what the best potting soils are for most house plants. I have a mix of monsteras, philodendrons, wandering dudes, etc. I would prefer to make my own soil if I can! If anyone has any recipes please let me know! :) happy planting!

Does anyone know what in the world this could possibly be? It’s sprouted up out of my recently potted pothos.

Any advice on what I should do next with this guy? I’ve had him 2 years now and he’s looking like something out of a Dr. Seuss book! This is my longest living plant so I’ve never had this problem before!

hello! i recently bought a trailing plant from kroger, and obviously it wasn’t labeled! 😭 so i was wondering if anyone would have an idea of what it is? it looks like an n’joy pothos, but it’s kind of waxy, like a wax plant. thanks in advance! :)

I finally worked up the courage to move some pothos cuttings into pon (thanks to the Planta user for suggesting that medium!) Fingers crossed!! 🌱🪓

This Ice Princess is in a 4ā€ pot. Can I repot in a 6ā€ or leave it be?

I’ve lost my biggest leaves due to weight.. can you guys show me what you do to hold them up? I didn’t want to add anything because I love the way it looks by itself 😭

ripped off a dying leaf this morning from my bird of paradise and then started losing my mind. I noticed all these small spheres that looked like something I have never seen before and it was only in this one spot. i decided to try to remove everything i could from the soil and put it in sealed bag for trash. they were so small that I’m sure I must have missed some. any ideas what this was (scared) and how to prevent it? i usually try to keep my bop soil from drying out completely and the plant is otherwise healthy

Ahhhhhhright. It’s time to repot this beauty. I’ve been trying to wit while the baby got a lil bigger. My question is repot them together? Or put the baby in it’s own little pot?

I recently took my orchid out of its soil and put it in water. I came out to do some morning reading and drink my coffee and see these little guys growing in the old orchid soil that I was too lazy to toss out at the time! Could they be little orchid babies or something entirely different? I don’t know what to do with them. Any suggestions?
