My begonia is pushing out MASSIVE leaves. These are some of the biggest I’ve seen from any begonia I’ve owned.
A recent acquisition that has me so very excited. The texture is truly velvety and so so soft. Beautiful plant.
Browsing at Lowes and found this rare MichaelMoelleria Vietnamensis 🥰. Perfect addition to my collection.
Hi! I just started getting into plants and my mom gave me a cutting of this big tree she’s had for 20 years but doesn’t actually know the name of. I waited until the cutting had a lot of roots and then planted it in just regular fertilizer. Can anyone tell me how to keep it alive/what it even is?
can anyone tell me what does is?
I have this sad arrowhead + a begonia that it’s on its way out + a sickly pothos. I think I messed up in a few areas but need guidance. - I use grow lights 12 hours/day - I follow the Planta instructions for watering - I gave them some plant food (first time) around 2 weeks ago and followed ratio directions. Soon after, I saw all my plants droop, and leaves yellow. They were not rebounding so a week ago I repotted them in their same pots, but attempt to blot dry the soil with paper towels. I removed some root rot and I also added a decent amount of perlite to help with drainage. This arrowhead was completely dry 2 days ago and staring to droop. I added the smallest bit of water. 2 days later we have no improvement. The two questions I had are, should I always replace big box store soil with something that drains better? And should I not feed plants this young?
Just got this little Hoya rope plant and am very excited about it! Any tips on keeping it alive?
I am trying to grow a cabbage tree inside as an experiment to see how it goes. Any tips?
I've been getting these alerts when marking plants as watered that are *in my Planta queue*. Anyone else? Planta, is this a known bug?
Just a happy girl with all her plants
Hello everyone!! I’m new to being a plant parent and I really need help! I got this Alocasia Frydek at a coffee shop about a month ago and I noticed two of his leaves have turned yellow and are drooping really bad. One new leaf has grown over the past few days and I’ve watered it three times since I got it. He’s still in his original nursery pot, but I have a 6 inch pot with draining holes and organic indoor soil. I’m just afraid to repot in case he goes into shock or I make it worse. Please please help any advice will do💗
It's funny to see how this one grows... It will suddenly balloon over night. Just moved it to the bright north window with other blooming epiphytes, where it will likely remain until AC season. Curtains at night so no street light and no growlights over winter. The schlumbergera thrived with this set up I'm curious to see how the other ones will do. Every year learning more through trial and error 🙏🏼
I’ve heard herbs can be dramatic but I feel like mine are dying. I know I need to repot them because they are still in their nursery pots, but I was trying to have them acclimate to my home and I fear I’ve let them do it too long. Thoughts? Left is Rosemary, than mint, then oregano.
🤭 guilty as charged
set up my new plant stand today, think i need to replace and get more grow lights but overall really happy with it! also rearranged my plant corner of the living room!
Hello! Two of my anthurium babies have put out flowers for the first time!! My question is how would I go about breeding these plants? Or would I be able to open the flowers for seeds? My research has been inconclusive lol, thank you in advance!
i’m new to having plants and i currently have 2 cuttings from this big guy! they are doing well! is there a fertilizer that’s recommended for heart leaf philodendrons? 🍃
Feels like you grew overnight, hey there little guy! 😍🥰🪴
Okay so I know this is overly ready to be placed in a planter. I’m ready nervous, this is by far my favorite and I don’t want to send it into shock. My question is leave it water in a larger container, plant it in leca or in soil. I kinda want to put it on a grow pole so that would mean soil as I don’t think that’s possible in leca. What’s your thoughts and or suggestions?
