hi everyone! i have a question about propagating my silver sword philodendron. this plant was given to me as a cutting and it is growing AMAZINGLY, however the stem is insanely thin while the top of the plant is getting very thick. i was told to cut the top of the plant so the bottom gets thicker and i wanted to know where the best place to cut would be in order to ensure a healthy thick stem as well as the optimal place to cut for propagation. here’s some pics! thanks

Green colored tradescantia (fluminensis Variegata) has slowly invaded my old nest of tradescantia purple heart. The green colored tradescantia came from a plant that died last summer. A piece probably broke off and rooted on some pine needles. The several days of freezing weather didn’t kill it last winter. This is why tradescantia plants are considered invasive weeds in many warm areas.
When you use humidifiers, can you give me an idea of how long you keep them on and how close they are to your plants? I know it depends on literally everything but looking for some guidance to start. Thanks!
Help!!!!!!!!!! My scindapsus looks kinda weird!!!!! Do you guys think I repotted her wrong??????? I had to repot because the soil it was in was filled with gnats 🤦🏾♀️ my home is Gnat free. My string of pearls has been in this planter container since I got it. But it looks like some roots are starting to poke through… should I repot? Help!
This is my Alternanthera Ficoidea (Party Time) plant. Aren’t they supposed to be bushy not tall? I have tried chopping and propping it (hence the two pieces) but it just keeps growing tall and leggy. Am I just mistaken that it grows up first and then out? It’s one of my favorite plants so I’m nervous I’m not doing something right.
does anyone know what this is? I was thinking a type of pepperomia but planta is saying a Hoya or rubber plant. thanks for any help!!
Help! I am a new plant mom. I live in New England and we already have the heat on. My plants are very dry, even with watering per the app. I have a large window for sunlight, but there is a heater underneath. I don’t know what to do.
Hi, I’m having Peace Lily issues. It only loses leaves and rarely gains any new ones. And the pot has these whitish spots on the top. I did just water it right before this photo was taken so it’ll probably perk up a little more. Thinking maybe a grow light and more frequent watering….thoughts? Thanks!
I have brought a monstera deliciosa. Can anyone tell me if I have potted it correctly. Also why is the bottom leaf a bit brown
Guess who constantly complains about what a diva their stromanthe triostar is because she always looks poorly but always has new growth and had basically given up on her only to find out it’s because she’s had spider mites for an unknown length of time…..🙋🏻
i was just watering my never never plant and i looked on its tray and see these little worm things! what the heck are they? they are actively moving i dont see anything at the bottom of the pot or in the soil
I am so sad, I think I’m about to lose the entire bottom of my umbrella plant. All of the leaves are turning yellow at once. Any idea if they will ever grow back in the future? I’ve been needing to repot with better draining soil so I’m guessing that’s the problem. Also thinking maybe it’s because it’s getting colder here and it’s right next to the window. Any thoughts? 😢
I just can’t get a good looking leaf out of this anthurium 😑 why?
Any idea why my planta app says my succulent should next be watered in April 2025?
Came back from vacation to finds lots of new growth on my money tree (Also can anyone tell me why a few leaves are dropping?)
My poinsettia.
Why Are My Meyer Lemons Staying Small and Drying Out? Hi everyone, My Meyer lemon plant has been flowering, but the fruits remain small, turn yellow, and dry out before they can grow properly. Does anyone know why this might be happening? What steps can I take to help the fruits grow bigger and healthier? I’d really appreciate your suggestions and guidance. Thank you in advance for your help!
I’ve noticed holes on my polka dot plant’s leaves and found those round things in the soil. What could it be?
