Hey besties!! I’ve recently joined the world of houseplants and was looking for some advice. I live in an apartment that doesn’t get insane amounts of natural light and I don’t have a patio or anything to put my plants for sunlight. Is there anything I can do to help give them better light? So far they look like they’re doing alright, I’m just worried they’re gonna die from no light. Or even if you have some tips and tricks for a new plant mom! For better context I have a guzmania.

Update: last year I bought a Boston Fern from Lowe’s that soon started to look like it was dying. I took it out of its pot & separated it into 2 as it looked root-bound (learned that term here!). Through the (Florida) winter they looked like the first photo, & I wasn’t sure if it would come back or not as I am a new plant parent (started last year!) but now I have two lush ferns! It’s so rewarding 🥰

Anyone have suggestions on success for pruning back my umbrella tree? It’s getting a little too wild for its corner. It’s currently 3 ft from base to the top of the trunk where the highest leaf pops out.

So happy with these finds from today. Went to a local nursery and found this massive climbing manjula for only $23! Then while looking through a big batch of florida green i spotted this one with a florida ghost pup for just $10🤩 Might take some tetris to make room for them, but for those prices they had to come home

It’s been only 2 weeks from the nursery and the English lavender plant looks like this! How do I revive it?

What cause my aloe leaves to get visibly wrinkly under the leaves near the bottom? Almost feels like leather and leafs are starting to feel a little loose.

Does anyone know what these white spots on my jade plant could be? They almost look and feel like pores. I’m hoping it’s not pests 🤞

Heya!!! 😊 I’m somewhat new to the world of plant parenting but completely new to the world of high humidity plants- I’ve been given my sisters nerve plant who is incredibly unhappy and have no idea what to do!! Any advice would be so well received because this girl wants to live!!

I repotted my bird of paradise at the beginning of last month and the health of it has significantly decreased. I’ve lost two leaves since this photo. I noticed the soil smelled bad today. What happened? What should I do?

Does anyone have recommendations for reasonably priced pendant-style grow lightbulbs? I put minimal effort into my current setup and I'm sadly getting minimal results (shocker lol). 1 know Soltech is the gold standard but I'm not ready to drop $200 just yet.

hey guys! i’ve just recently gotten back into plants and i’m looking for some advice! i have an aloe plant, a spider plant, a dracaena and a money tree. they’re all on the smaller side and definitely babies! does anyone have advice on how to care for them? i know the app gives advice on how to take care of them but i’m wondering if anyone has some tips and tricks or even something the app wouldn’t tell me that would help. thank you in advance!

I posted a while ago about moving with my plants (specifically shipping them, which I’d never done before)— I wanted to give a quick update since I just unwrapped them from their cocoons and boxes etc. It was a real operation lol I WRAPPED those puppies in paper and saran wrap Plants survived the first leg of the journey! I have yet to excavate the pothos currently living in an empty/room-temp cooler for protection (scared for her) but so far things are looking up for the planttyys!

LONG POST ALERT BUT PLEASE READ…..Hello my plant friends., I am sending this to everyone as a precaution for when you purchase your plant babies. I love my pothos plants and have always been able to grow them without killing them. Well I could not figure out why one of my plants a (hanging basket) kept having issues was slowly dying. I repotted twice already before today. However on today I finally decided I was gonna shake away all soil on the roots and treat the roots before this repot. Needless to say I found out why my plant was not thriving. PLEASE TELL ME why did this nursery feel the need to support one of the vines to the main root ball with a rubber band…😡😡😡that’s what I get for going to a nursery I normally don’t deal with. I said all of that to say this EXAMINE your roots soon when your plant keep having issues. So from a hanging basket to now this🙄🥲

Is anyone else’s app glitching? For weeks mine has been telling me to water the same plants everyday. Looking for solutions that don’t require deleting the app and losing all my data. Thanks

hi guys so this is my first plant ever i got it as a gift it’s a cyclamen💗 (sorry for the long post but i need help🥹) the first pic is the day i got it (where the petals look nice and upright) i watched lots of yt and read articles that said no sun and only water the soil and no overwatering so i overthought and kept it too far away from my window (on the shelf) and only sprayed a bit on the top soil (making sure i don’t hit any leaves or flowers) and thought it would be okay 🥹 (it was on saturday) i checked on the plants on tuesday and all the flowers were drooping, some rot, leaves yellow and rotting as well. 🥹🥹🥹 so i changed its spot to be closer to the window (found out its north facing) and bottom watered it. i made the mistake of watering it for over 6 hrs because everywhere i read it said to leave it till the soil feels moist right now i kept it under a towel to drain the water but i think i might’ve overwatered 🥹🥹 some of the leaves curled up and got 3 more yellow leaves i need some tips and advice on what i should do right now to bring it back ti how it looked like before when i first got it. someone please help 🥹 it would be appreciated 💗💗 TIA🤍

Please help! I have a Norfolk pilea plant that is currently drooping, with curled leaves that feel almost like flimsy? I thought the issue might be that overwatering as the soil was quite soaked, so I switched the soil and now have it under a grow light. Is this the right course of action? Or what else can I do?
