I got my first Alocasia a couple weeks ago and she dropped one leaf (Iâve heard that they only keep 5 ish leaves at a time and they can drop old leaves when growing new ones but I see any new leaves.) And now there is another leaf looking really bad. Could it just be needing more humidity? I donât know what else it could want.. she gets bright indirect light

Hello! Iâm new to gardening and plants as a whole, I began in June of this year and since then Iâve gotten a Jade Tree, Bunny Ear Cactus, Tineke Rubber Plant, and then most recently a Monstera.
But anyways, I just wanted to know if anyone has any tips for caring for a Monstera and how to manage it? She hasnât exactly made the best impression on my family with how big she already is lol
Her name is Lani and I made a cutting to propagate her :) (The cutting had two mature fenestrated leaves on it)

Forgot what I honestly planted, looks to be a polka dot variation. Are these little guys big enough to be potted in a 2in pot now? Thereâs multiple in each square - do I repot them together or try to separate them? They seem so fragile I donât know how Iâll even get them out of the seedling container đ any advice welcomed TIA

Mushrooms are growing in my Chinese Evergreen. Iâm told that means the soil is good(?). Do I just leave them?? Iâve never dealt with this before.

Hi all! Can someone help me with my Jade đ„č She started having brown crispy tips on the very top leaves, and now she has black spots on her top leaves.
Sheâs in a south facing window, in espoma succulent and cactus soil, and I water her when she is completely dry and then some.
I will say she gets a LOT of sun during the day, so Iâm wondering if sheâs getting too much light?
Please help my jade đ„č

Why are the tips of my crispy fern turning brown? Itâs near a grow light that in for 12 hrs but it to the side so it doesnât get direct light from it. I just moved it to a window yesterday.

Do you guys think my plants will okay here? I just moved all my plants over onto this new plant shelf yesterday. Most of these plants have been grown by a grow light. So Iâm worried that they wonât thrive as well. It is in an east window. I put the grow lights over my succulents because they have been so picky about their light and I donât want to lose any. Any tips appreciated! Thank you!

I started with 3 (almost dead) plant rescues on Jan 1. Now I have 27 various health plants. Iâm worried about winter. All my plants are indoors, most with grow lights, and we keep a pretty constant temperature year-round. Can I just adjust the length of time with the grow lights as an indication of winter? I leave my grow lights on from sunrise to sundown so maybe where we get less sun in the winter time theyâll know that itâs winter?

Hi! Iâve had this plant since it was tiny. Itâs now grown this one stem thatâs super tall and top heavy. My question is do I leave it, add support, or chop? Any advice is appreciated!

Can anyone advise why my snake plant has grown a new leaf thatâs superseded the original plant and why thereâs a random thing green thing growing in the pot? The new tiny âplantâ is thin enough to wave from the breeze from my ceiling fan. It doesnât look like a snake plant. And the main plant that has 3 leaves hasnât really grown since I got it in April but now has grown another leaf thatâs about 5 inches taller a than the original plant đ

I live in Arizona and would like to plant some fruit trees in my backyard. Any suggestion for the best type of orange tree?

Returning from Long Travel + Plantsittingâ What Do You Do?
Ok yâallâ my plants need some TLC, some of them need to be outright resuscitated, and I am setting aside all day Saturday to bring them back to life once and for all. (As much as one can anyway đ đ±)
Hereâs the list of plants, problems, and what I believe the solutions might be:
#1: The Roman Empire (monstera deliciosa my beloved)â Iâve had this poor child for almost a year and sheâs been struggling for over half of it. Lower leaves are curling and drooping, yellow and eventually brown discoloration in many parts of the leaves, and has appeared for a while to be infested with mealybugs or some kind of pest along those lines. A couple leaves are doing fantastic (thereâs a baby leaf with signs of some beautiful fenestration unfolding as we speak). I think itâs time to chop and prop but Iâm scared she wonât bounce back if I do it wrong. Iâve tried neem oil and repotted once with all new dirt, rinsed off the roots and they looked fine, and have yet to give the poor little one a moss pole because I donât want that to also be infestable material. Thoughts? Can she be saved? đïžâïžđŽ
#2: Byzantium (boston fern)â this poor guy. This poor poor little guy. I left him at my apartment over the summer and had several people rotate watering responsibilities, but naturally this was not a thriving time for him since there were some irregular intervals between waterings. Mold in the top of the soil, leaves are looking a little crispy and brown. I think the solution here is repot and make sure I reset his water regimen so heâs not being traumatized in either direction. đđŽđšPlease correct me though if iâm wrong because I very well might be lol
#3: Truth, Justice and the American Way (tradescantia my beloved)â heâs mostly ok but very tall with a lot of leaves partially dried out, for the same reasons as the others. ^ His soil looks fine, heâs just unsightly at the moment. đźđȘđ Remove the brown leaves, chop and prop to fill him out more?
#4: Juliet (golden pothos my poor tragic beauty)â Iâll cut to the chase, her dirt is MOLDY. And sheâs lost a lot of leaves to underwatering-related crispiness. Itâs been a hard time for miss juliet. Is there a mold solution that doesnât require all new dirt? đđ đ
I know thatâs a lot, so thanks for reading this far! How have you handled returning from travel and resuscitating neglected plants? Did you ever feel like your plants fully recovered? (Did they forgive you đ)

Variegation or no? This is my elephant ear plant that recently sprouted again thankfully. It was in very direct Texas sun which caused it to die. (Ik shame on me đŹ) But the new leaf sprouted whitestripes. What do yâall think?

I think this is a watermelon money plant ? Correct me if Iâm wrong ⊠but it is my favorite plant right now because Iâve successfully propagated it and itâs been sprouting lots of babies since I moved it into soil đ„° my concern is there are like 10 fruit flies in the soil at all times :( Iâve been spraying it with neem oil but it hasnât helped . Any tips or tricks ? Thanks in advance đ
