When the Planta people tell you a plant is ābadā or āSickā why doesnāt it tell you what to try or do to help the plant below are two of my babies. I have just started with plants so Iām clue less
Okay this is a fairly general question from an indoor plant neophyte. When your plants have grown to immense size is it time to think about combining some into larger pots? Or is it simply a matter of repotting into yet larger individual pots?
This is my monstera just bought from a plant shop is a repotting necessary or shall I wait for dormancy to end to repot
Is this sunburn ? TIA
Hey! So I live in the tropical climate. Winters are usually mild but it's dryer than I'd like for my alocasia. I was doing some reading on how to keep it more humid during the colder months and when it gets cold enough I'll definitely be bringing it inside more. At the time being I'm just bringing it inside at night and putting it outside during the day I'm looking for a good way to ensure humidity when I have a balcony. I was reading a bit on like pebble trays or a clear case to simulate a greenhouse effect but doesn't it have to be warm for that effect? Advice is appreciated!
Just added a grow light to my African Violet shelf (south-facing window, but itās heavily shaded by the roof and a tree). Hopefully they will flower sooner šš itās not on a timer so Iāll be doing my best to add 2-3 hours of the purple light to what it gets during the day since it seems *almost* sufficient⦠Lemon Whip, Pow Wow, and Wrangler Spanish Cavalier. From August to now⦠In just two months, my alocasiaās leaves have doubled! Proud plant momš crazy what lighting, consistent watering, and fertilizer can do!
Guys. If anyone has any help on how to revive my lavender, I would greatly appreciate it. This plant is really important to me. I donāt know what happened. It was doing so well in its original plastic pot from the store. Then it quickly deteriorated. Planta says itās suffering from water imbalance. The soil is moist right now. I repotted it like 3 days ago. The leaves are brittle but soft, not crispy. Should I cut the brittle part off? I canāt tell if itās really dead since itās not crispy. I do have a fertilized water mixture from the store. But in the meantime, it looks so sad. I donāt think Iāll need to water it for another 5 days or so.
Dear planta, Is it possible you can add a feature to where when the plant goes dormant we can mark it dormant that way it stops telling us to water it when it doesn't need watered.
Just feeling frustrated. Iāve been working on bringing this corn plant back to health. It was under watered and root bound. I repotted and it is starting to do well. But now it has gnats. So Iām juggling between trying to keep the soil dry but also wanting to keep it watered. Ugh. Iām using mosquito bits. I know it takes a while. And what should I do about that year sad leaves? Canāt cut gf all the brown or it would be sparse. Just canāt wait till itās full and pretty and gnat free.
brought our chinese hibiscus in from outside for the fall/winter and she is absolutely THRIVING! comment with your latest flowering plant; iād love to see everyoneās!
