Got this from Home Depot today! Even tho I couldn’t get what I needed, at least I got a plant 😭 The label says crassula ovata mosaic variegated but I don’t see it on planta

When buying plants from a big box store, do we always need to repot them when we take them home? For some reason I was under the notion that I had to repot and get rid of all the soil it came with lol. Seems wasteful. Not sure where that idea came from. Wondering if it can just stay in the pot I bought it in if it’s doing well?

Hello All, I am pretty new to the plant world. Thankfully a planta helped diagnose my Calathea Stella by saying it had Fungus. I was noticing the leaves looked droopy, the leaves edges were light brown but crispy, and I was getting these random dots all over different leaves. So today I repotted it with the purpose of checking the roots. For the most part they seemed good with the exception of like 3 moist stems. I removed those, and removed the spotted leaves. To be safe I sprayed the remain dirt on the roots with castle soap and then while repotting I sprayed it with neem spray. The leaves where firstly before with dirt so I had to clean them with some water. Although now I realize when I wash them they were a bit cold. My poor plant will be in shock for everything that I had to for it. Please pray for my plant 🙏🏼 right now it’s as all alone on a shelf to make sure it doesn’t spread to any other leaves. Anyone has any advice ?

Hi everyone! Wasn’t sure where to go for this but I’ve had my Philodendron Pink Princess for over a month now and it’s my favorite plant, recently her leaves started drooping heavily and the stem is quite wobbly, it is still as bright as when I first got her and there seems to be a new leaf starting to grow. I only water it when the soil is almost entirely dry, there are drainage holes we drilled in the pot. The soil is mixed with orchid bark, perlite, and coconut coir as well. Any idea how to help cheer her up? I recently moved back to college and placed her on my windowsill that gets an amazing amount of sun and so far all my other plants love it and are doing great. This has been going on since before the move so I don’t think that’s playing much of a part in it. Am i overthinking this, is there something I should do, or should I just give her some time?

Hi. I asked before if my spider plant should be repotted and I was given different answers. I took it out of the pot to see the roots and this is how it is. The second pic is the top of the plant where you can see some roots but maybe that’s because it’s not planted deep enough. Anyways is it time to repot? 🤔🤔 You probably should click on the first pic to see the full pic of it.

I have a monstera which has been dying ever since i bought it. It also seems to get very dry very quickly. I would love to hear any suggestions how i can make it better? Also we have roots/ nodule coming out of the draining pot. Should i repot this?

FINALLY WE HAVE PROGRESS!! I might be able to save this monstera albo after all. She’s sat in standard tap water would she be better in rain water cus I’ll go out in the rain and collect some if I have too 😂

Does anybody use grow lights for indoor plants in the UK? I have pothos, monstera and ZZs and im worried there wont be enough light for the next few months
