New growth is like playing I-Spy with all the plants. 🌱
Random question here. I only have a skylight in my room at work. No windows. When reporting how close my plant is to the “window” I feel like it would be inaccurate to say 10 feet! When at some points in the day there is some good light coming in. I’m just unsure what to do to be the most accurate as far as lighting is concerned. Thoughts?
This little guy (Pigwidgeon) has made a lot of progress 😍
Is this plant sick? Also, who here has heard about 67?
fascination?
Can anyone help, my peace Lilly was flowering during the summer UK, now the flowers turn brown and die? Loads of new big leafs coming through but struggle to keep it flowering?
Can anyone help me identify this plant? I got it on clearance as a rescue plant, I’ve had to cut back all but one leaf and I have a new leaf coming in but have no clue what kind plant it is so I’m unsure if I’m giving the proper care for it.
Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is? I got it in the clearance section at Lowe’s but there was no name it just said assorted foliage
Hey so my alocasia black velvet has got at least 8 little shoots coming out of its base. I know these are signs that she’s doing well and happy, but should I be doing something with them? Im also wondering if they will grow little off springs if I bury them?
Healthy Beautiful Thai Constellation Monstera, to look back and think this beauty was in the clearance section.

Expert Help Needed 🪴Can anyone ID this plant? I think it’s an Aglaonema. Leaves are dark green with pale pink edges and stems.
I’m ready to give up on moss poles. I use a watering bulb on them. Which is a mess to just get positioned correctly without water dripping everywhere. Another poster used plastic cups with holes in it on the top of the pole. Sounds like a great idea but don’t know if I want to try it at this point. I have Treleaf trellises on a few plants. They look great but have not had long to know if the plants will attach to them. The company said they will and without misting the trellis. I’m too the point of wanting to get rid of the plants with poles. This part is a chore and not a fun hobby. Besides the pic plants I have a Cebu Blue that is even larger. Guess I’m just venting and in the process of deciding what to do. Tomorrow I may have totally different attitude towards it all .
Trying to pick a name for this beauty. It’s hard to capture the color of the leaves accurately on camera for whatever reason, but they’re actually a very deep, moody plum purple. She’s quite the lovely goth girl, so I’m debating over a couple of names for her. So far I’ve got Valerie, Erica/Erika, Nora, Raven, Simone, and Naomi, but I’d love to hear anyone suggestions. For anyone interested in picking one up, she’s a peperomia caperata ‘red luna’ that I bought on Sunday from Ott’s Exotic Plants. TIA!
Any tips for repotting a string of pearl? She fell last week and needs to be rehabbed. Never been repotted. Some of the strings came loose and I tried to poke them back into the soil but I haven’t been successful plus the nursery pot now has a crack in it. Any advice would be appreciated!
👋 Plant Newbie here, does it bother anyone else when your plant site has an odd number! It makes it so tempting to just go buy another plant! 😂🪴
Do I cut my Umbrella Palm down when it gets cold outside; it’s in a pot, so I will bring it inside for the winter. Mary
Hey guys! Do y’all have any care tips for the Alocasia melo plant? I just got one and I’ve never had an Alocasia before so I’m scared haha! Thank y’all💚
Nervous. As of this week I am caretaker of two large hibiscus for a friend who is out of country for an extended time. She’s clearly ready to be up potted. I know this isn’t the ideal time of year to repot. 1) what kind of soil mixture should I use? 2) anything else I should know? I really don’t want to stress or damage them! Thanks in advance.
Here’s a poll question for you all - do you research your plants before buying, or do you find a pretty plant and say “yep, that one’s mine!” And hope for the best with plant care?
