Ssoo i really dislike neem oil, mainly for its negative environmental impacts, and impact on bees, fish and tadpoles, but also it's smell š¤¢. I've been using up the last of a Neem/castille/alcohol mix i had before I switched, but after the 2 mealy bugs just waltzed out of the soil after drenching it with it š. I'm just going to dump it. I have growsafe, but I primarily use that for TC. Has anyone used Arber pesticide? I've used their fungicide and liked it, but haven't used the pest spray for any period of time. Or have any other recommendations i can research
Hey friends, My partner and I got our first Norefolk pine from Loweās last week. A lot of their pines were struggling a little bit so itās definitely going to need some TLC. The main issues currently are the needles at the bottom wilting, and some of the freshers stems at the top having black spots. Does anyone have any advice on caring for this little guy?
Hey guys I'm trying to decide if this lavender plant I have is alive, or dead, or just sleeping. I water it pretty routinly if the soil is dry. I trimmed off some parts that just snapped off and left the ones that didn't. However it was very fragrent when I did this.
My daughter purchased this plant, leaves started yellowing and dying, hence the bare lower half of the trunk. She asked me to take it and try to save it. Same is happening for me. Any suggestions??
I rescued this plant and I canāt seem to get it on track itās def the hardest plant Iāve dealt with. It had root rot I took care of that and potted it in a smaller pot but what am I missing. Does it just need time to adjust? Itās a white wizard Ps itās been reported for over a month now maybe 2 months.
Hey, this plant is going yellow, is there any chance to save it and if so? How do I go about it?
I got a fiddle leaf fern a couple weeks ago, and it was bought with a couple of these dead spots but I think more have appeared. Any reason for this, and any tips for fiddle care? Also I'm not sure if it's a problem, but all but two of the leaves are quite stiff (the ones who aren't were there when I bought it, but they're higher up and therefore newer) EDIT: The dead spots have spread on this leaf and other smaller leaves lower down have completely died, I don't think this is isolated to one leaf- also the other healthy leaves appear to have dropped a bit EDIT2: I had watered it in my shower and given it a good soak, but we as confused because brown spots started appearing from the middle as opposed to the edge- I've check the soil and it's bone dry, so I don't think it has root rot (yet), but I think I overwatered it. Google says it can show signs of both under and over watering and the same time if I water erratically, and that's what I did- opinions? (PSA once I watered it the leaves stopped dropping, now it's just the lowest leaves that are drooping- also it's lost quite a bit of leaves). Also I have no idea what the blue stuff is, it was there when I bought it and hasn't changed or grown
Does anyone happen to know what this white stuff is?
Help. I think I overwatered my alocasia. Itās lost one small leaf already and now the large leaf is dying. I took it out of the pot and there are very few roots left, but what is there seems healthy. I was able to get two corms off to try to propagate.. but my question now is, itās been repotted into completely dry soil⦠how long do I wait to water it now? Or do I water it right away?? I really donāt want to kill her. š© the lamp in the pic is a grow bulb so she should be getting plenty of light. TIA!
What the heck is happening to my avocado? This is the second time this has happened with this plant. The most mature leaves have shriveled and dropped suddenly. The plant is growing well and it is water and fertilized regularly (according to Plantaās recommendations). It is under a plant light. I am at a loss as to why it has done this.
Whatās this black stuff on my zebra plant leaf? There were three little leaves that just recently fell off the very top of the stem. Should I cut this one off, or should I just let it fall on its own? I got this plant back in August, when it was already leggy, (I could change him, right?!) and we were doing so well. I also have had off and on fungus gnats as well, which Iām treating with mosquito bit/neem oil watering and sticky traps. I donāt mist the leaves. My peperomia plant next to it also has all of these dried up triangles in the leaves. Is it a pest?
I have an elephants bush and itās healthy and growing but i keep getting mealy bugs and everything i do they keep coming back. ive checked for mealy bugs in my other plants and none of them have it. would love to know some other tips and things to do for getting rid of mealy bugs! šæ
Iām not sure whatās happening but can anyone help me figure out whatās going on. I donāt want her to die off. Thank you!
Omg I have more babies š®I think I have to chance the pot so that it grows more.
Just a question, is it safe to add NEEM OIL to water when Iām bottom watering plants? I spray my plants with neem oil as recommended, but I have a few plants with a rust infection and I donāt think spraying them is cutting it. Thoughts? Recommendations?
SOS!! Mealy bugs are taking over!! I brought home fairy plants as indoor plants to start. Discovered mealy bugs on all three. Iāve separated them from the group & treated them with ready to use Neem Oil from Captain Jack. Two seem to be doing well and free of the pests. Third plant died, possibly unrelated to the bugs. Now itās been more than a month or two and I havenāt brought the two plants back to the group where I intended them to be. Just noticed few of the plants in the group (where I first placed the fairy plants) have webbing & what appears to be young mealy bugs. What should I do to end the infestation!!??!!
Any recommendations on what I can use to get rid of fungus gnats and keep them away? Something that is also non toxic and cat safe.
Can anyone help me figure out whatās going on with my Monstera? He was thriving for the longest time, but now heās developing these spots on his leaves and his new shoots are looking unhealthy
I kept telling my mom she needed to get that mold out of her fiddle leaf that lives in her sun room. She obviously didnt listen but now got some crazy looking mushrooms coming out of it!
