I got a fiddle leaf fern a couple weeks ago, and it was bought with a couple of these dead spots but I think more have appeared. Any reason for this, and any tips for fiddle care? Also I'm not sure if it's a problem, but all but two of the leaves are quite stiff (the ones who aren't were there when I bought it, but they're higher up and therefore newer) EDIT: The dead spots have spread on this leaf and other smaller leaves lower down have completely died, I don't think this is isolated to one leaf- also the other healthy leaves appear to have dropped a bit EDIT2: I had watered it in my shower and given it a good soak, but we as confused because brown spots started appearing from the middle as opposed to the edge- I've check the soil and it's bone dry, so I don't think it has root rot (yet), but I think I overwatered it. Google says it can show signs of both under and over watering and the same time if I water erratically, and that's what I did- opinions? (PSA once I watered it the leaves stopped dropping, now it's just the lowest leaves that are drooping- also it's lost quite a bit of leaves). Also I have no idea what the blue stuff is, it was there when I bought it and hasn't changed or grown

Mine started doing rhat too sometimes you need to take a look at the roots. Especially if you haven’t repotted. Mine just needed a bigger pot because it was absorbing enough water.

Also def mist them they love it. When their leaves crack it means the leaves are too dry.

Make sure they dry out really really well btwn watering! They do not like sitting in water at all. When happened to mine I took that leaf off and kept on going, it never happened to any others
