Help!! So I got this arrowhead off of clearance a couple weeks ago and waited until it acclimated to my environment. It already looked sickly & droopy but I wanted to be patient right. I finally repotted it on Saturday and it was severely root bound. I ended up with two plants afterward in two separate pots. Now it looks even worse today. The soil is kinda dry so idk if I should soak it or what. My other one looks bad but it’s perking up slowly but its soil feels freakin’ soaked like it never even dried out at all after I watered it. So I’m super confused on which direction to go. I’ve never had a plant do this after reporting but I’ve never had one as root bound as this one was either so idk if it was the trauma along with the separation along with something else I’m missing. Omg please help me! The one in the brown pot is dry, the one in the aqua colored pot is soaking wet still. Would I water the dark brown pot and should I leave the other alone or should what? I don’t want to lose them.

Just got a few plants for Christmas and we are new to growing indoor plants. Noticed the soil turning white. Do I need to change the soil and pots? Water less? Give them time to adjust to new home?

Hi friends I have alot of tropicals and all are doing amazing….except this little guy. I’ve recently repotted hoping that would help but it has not sadly. Leaves are also slowly turning yellow. Any tips on how to make him happier?!?!

PLEASE HELP!! This went from being a full plant to this and I don’t know what I did wrong! The previous leaves turned yellow or fell off from the stem. Should I chop it and propagate or leave it??

I’ve been neglecting my philodendron and it’s drooping, yellowing leaves and now I’ve noticed this… is there any way I can save it or is it headed for the plant grave?

Hi I have a problem. I So I loveeeee alocacia they are so pretty and I recently got a Polly one and I repotted it when I brought it home it did good for about two weeks and then decided to literally poop itself. Dropping leaf after leave very dropped and seeming like it has no water. And I try really hard not to over water or underwater but maybe ? I don’t know. I just on a whim was like let me give it a tug mahbe no roots? And it had no roots at allllll And I am beyond shook I repotted it and I am really hoping it can be ok? It had roots that filled out a 8 inch pot to none in less than a month I don’t know what I did wrong. :( if there’s any ideas I’m all ears. Maybe the soil just wasn’t well draining enough for how big the pot was? But it has so much roots idk. This is it now I cut off 90% of its leaves just left two that looked like they might survive but I’m worried they won’t get any water before they die because it has no roots. Tips appreciated thank you in advance ā£ļø The alocacia behind it came from the same pot and seems to be doing great but it was smaller so I put it in a much smaller pot I’m thinking g that maybe I just rushed putting it in a pot too big? Or maybe it had roots too unhealthy already and I didn’t notice. Idk lol just looking for ideas for what I can do better from this point (Also side note I completely dropped it and spilled plants immediately after taking that photo 😭 I am crying)

Looking for advice on my Sequoia Giganteum! I live in Humboldt County, which is the native area for Sequoia sempervirens (coastal redwoods). This giant sequoia (the giant redwood type found in Yosemite) has been doing well since I moved here in 2021. It’s about 10-12 years old now! With more growth it loses some small branches and has its lower branches turn brown and die off in the summer when it’s warm or under watered, but this winter it’s losing way more branches than usual! I pruned off the dead branches and used them as mulch for the tree, but I’m worried the tree will continue to lose more or too much. Any advice? FYI, We rarely get hard freezes here because of the high humidity so I don’t think frost is an issue. It gets good morning light and has new growth on most of the top tips. I transplanted the tree into this bigger pot over summer of 2023 and it grew really well after the transplant. Any input is welcomed!!

hi! i got an umbrella tree two months ago that’s settled in nicely. i recently noticed some black spots on two stems at the very bottom of the plant. not sure if it’s a fungal infection or something else. it was bought at home depot so i don’t know when it was last fertilised but it’s got great lighting and watering. should i cut off the affected stems or repot?? grateful for any advice! thank you!!

my pothos cutting has been growing in water for a couple months and recently i moved it into soil along with another pothos cutting but there’s a yellow leaf. the yellow leaf has been there since the cutting was in water but i just wanted to know if i should cut it. the leaf is still attached to the plant pretty well and it’s not falling off or anything it’s just yellow. when it was in water it did have those slow release nutrient pellets about 4 and the pot it’s in now has drainage.

Diagnostic help? This plant is vaguely sick and I can’t seem to get the proper help from Planta, too many possible causes. Any ideas? The soil is quite dry but it’s not scheduled to be watered. The pot is kind of crappy, I got it at Winco but it does have a drainage hole.

Hello, I have a money tree and all the leaves turned brown shriveled up and fell off. Someone told me to cut the stems back for regrown, but i don’t think it worked. Is this salvageable or is it dead?

Hello! I can’t figure out the problem with the plant. I am watering it every 10 days and it gets enough light from the two windows. The lower leaves are hit the worst but the too ones are starting to become yellowish. Any advice?

This plant was given to me by a friend who couldn’t look after it anymore. The base had totally come out of the ground so I repotted it back into the same pot and same soil and gave it some water. Just until I figure out how to look after it best. It doesn’t seem to be doing well has anyone any advice?
