Just got a few plants for Christmas and we are new to growing indoor plants. Noticed the soil turning white. Do I need to change the soil and pots? Water less? Give them time to adjust to new home?

Generally, the white on top is harmless and is a side effect of moisture sitting in the soil— I either scrape it off or mix it into the top layer 😊

btw, you should take it out and check if it doesn’t have tape around bottom holding the trunks together , it it does please cut it off. My first money tree died as a result of being “choked” by it.
