This is big boi. Since big boi was reported - about five months ago now, his growth has been rather slow and several leaves have yellowed (which I have since chopped). What I’ve noticed is that the soil dries out within a couple days. My question is, is it possible I aerated the soil _too_ much? Should my heuristic be “just water whenever the soil is actually dry, don’t overthink it”? Yes, I know it’s really in that westward facing window.
I use a moisture meter and within 2-3 days after watering, it’s dry dry.
Thanks for your thoughts.

My plant has what looks like bite marks on the leaves. Any idea what type of pests/ diseases this could be?

Hi! New plant person here. My monstera deliciosa seems happy- she just pushed out a double fenestrated leaf that is fabulous. A week later I noticed one of her bottom leaves turning super yellow… she’s right in a north facing window. I am careful to not overwater and she doesn’t have pests. We are in a heat wave and she is next to my floor air conditioner vents so I’m wondering if that could impact? Anyway take a peek at the picture and drop your thoughts. I appreciate your insight!!

My ivy has been dying at the end of the vines and it hasn’t been producing any new leaves and it hasn’t grown much either. It is under a grow light for 12 hours a day and has not been repotted recently. It is on a good watering schedule for a while now. I’m not sure what to do? Should I give it a pole to climb up?

Help!!! I have a shampoo ginger rhizome and the leaves are turning yellow and drying up. I just purchased a soil moisture meter for watering purposes. I have it in indirect light. Any other recommendations?

Help! My curly spider, Shirley has brown tips…is it from over or under watering…or something else. I water her according to the Planta app.

Lemon Plant Help
This lemon plant means a lot to me emotionally and I would hate to have it die. Could I get some assistance on better care for this lemon plant? Or what is going on with it? I repotted it but it is still suffering. I water it every few days to keep the soil moist and sometimes more frequently depending on the heat. I put it outside during the day to soak up the sun and bring it into my garage overnight. I live in zone 6 so it’s far from ideal conditions but I am trying my best. Anything helps!

Bought this cat palm from Home Depot and it looked great when we first brought it home. We clearly have not been doing something right because he looks so sad now. Please help! Planta says it’s overwatered so I’ve been paying close attention and letting it dry out a little further before watering again. I tried trimming back the dead and dying parts in hopes that would help and none of those leaves have grown back. Maybe I need to change the location? Does anyone have any thoughts? 😔

I rescued this orchid plant the other day and have no idea what to do. They end of the stem is dry and shriveled but the base seems to be healthy. I gave him a drink of water today but beyond that, should I repot him? Should I clip off the dead end? Will his flowers come back? I could use some input.

I have had a moth orchid for the last year. Well, yesterday I noticed that the stem is starting to wilt and turn yellow. I have done the same things I have always done and I’m unsure why my plant has started to wilt. If anyone could give me some guidance to help keep my plant from dying, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Need some help determining if anything is wrong with my croton. I recently repotted on the advice of a local shopkeeper. It has just looked very thin for such a long time and doesn’t retain its leaves, although it has no problem sprouting new ones in the summer. Before this it had 10 dead leaves on top of the soil in the old pot. Anything I can do to promote healthier growth?

Does my plant look okay? Some of the old leaves don’t look as bright as the new ones. Also does anyone know if I need to add anything to the soil other than water?

Hi Everyone,
I’m having trouble in my flat with small black flies and I believe they are coming from a plant?
Could anyone help with what I should do to get rid of them and prevent them please? Thanks :)

Hey all, any thoughts on the yellowing tips? Plenty of indirect sunlight. Regular watering but trying to avoid too much. Using tap water.
TIA!

my coleus leaves have been turning pale yellow with speckles?
i water it almost every day during the summer and have it in my backyard that gets bright light but with a lot of shaded tree cover
i think this probably isn't much of a concern but i'm not sure if this is normal or not
